About this listen
Killing machines. Shadow organizations. A desperate attempt to stay sane.
The first four books in the Space Seasons series!
After failing the most important exam of his life, Kyle is forced into a VR war. Now, he fights on the front lines as cannon fodder for what he always assumed was the government, losing a little part of his memories with every virtual death.
When the mission he’s on goes wrong, Kyle is stranded on a planet far from his original destination. Finally given a chance to make an impression in the organization, Kyle will have to risk his mind for a chance at salvation.
If he fails, he'll lose all will to resist: making him the perfect soldier.

A massive Audio Extravaganza
This is a hefty piece of audio with an alaborate world building backstory and an amazing amount of characters with large stat sheets.
In the audio this can be a lot to process compared to the book making this a bit of an undertaking.
Luckily with large LitRPG stats the narrator is key and here Hellegers does wonders ,making this fresh as we go through complicated scenarios.
The main characters are well fleshed out and the usual bonds and tribulations are a welcome push to the story.
However I wouldn't attempt this in one go as it is a lot to take in, so breaks are required or even breathers but a great addition to the library in any case.

overall a good and interesting story.
I enjoyed it overall, but I've always had a problem with men writing for woman and woman writing for men. we don't look into each others eyes, touch each other all the time, go weak at the knees. it's not a deal breaker as I said overall great book. just at least talk to a few men and see actually how we act and feel. sorry if this offends but it's just odd.

Stats
Good story. Early on though 10% of book is reading stats. Later it gets better

repetetive
liked it in the beginning, fail exam and such that was good, then it became to linear a-b-c and predictable, and at a point i was listining to stats sheets, omg read it one more time and I poke my eardrum with a pencil.
