Ghost of Christmas Past
In this short novelette, a little girl hires Jonathan to get rid of a ghost that haunts her family every Christmas. The hauntings have escalated from sightings to full possession.
It should be an open-and-shut exorcism, but when Jonathan discovers the truth, it's more than he bargained for....

Entertaining small slice of Jonathan Shade world
This is just a short story rather than a full novel, but it was still an entertaining episode in the world of Jonathan Shade with some interesting twists and adding to the overall depth of the recurring characters.
The narrator does another good job and their narration serves to enhance this short story.
Overall, just a quick visit to this character, but an entertaining one.

Short and sweet
A ghost story for Christmas, complete with body possession and poltergeists. Short and sweet. I enjoyed this.

Ghost Haunting for Christmas.
A truly enjoyable tale of Ghost detective Jonathan Shade who was hired by a little girl to get rid of the ghost haunting her family. Though short, it kept my attention and had me on the edge of my seat especially when the twists hit.
This is one for the books and something light and quick a first time audio listener would like to get started. And the narrator's voice and inflection were pretty good. I'd listen to him again.
Recommended.

The Christmas spirit in more ways than one
I have listened to all the audio books in the Jonathan Shade series and despite not being a bit fan of Novellas I was missing the characters, so gave this book ago. I am glad I did because I loved it (and got my fix until the next book comes out). As you can tell I love the characters from the ghost attached to her type writer to the immortal ninja bodyguard. Even the main character is one of a kind and showed his softer side in this book. The new characters made this a sweet Christmas tale but, that will have you arhing, don't worry Kelly still gets her ninja stars. For a novella the author packs a lot in and even when you think it was near the end he manages to throw in a twist and take it in a different direction. If this is you first introduction to Jonthan or like me already a big fan then it is a great sample of addition.I hope the rest of the series will make it to audio books.
Jonathan is surprised to return to his office to find a hound girl waiting for him. She has a ghost problem and needs his unique skills. Every Christmas once the Christmas decorations go up a ghost starts to stalk her in her own home. Can Jonathan help save Christmas?
I like the narrator, he helped bring the characters to life.
