Memories From My Childhood

This was the first book I read cover to cover as a child. I still have a copy I took out of the library in 1976. I’m waiting for a fines amnesty before I return it :)

A wonderful story, beautifully told. I cannot recommend this highly enough for your child or the child in you.

Classic Story.

Read this at school, probably about 35+ years ago.
Enjoyed it then and still enjoyed today.

Classic.

Wonderful story

Clive King’s delightful story about Barney and his mysterious friend Stig, who lives in the disused chalk quarry is one of the best children’s books ever written, and Martin Jarvis does it full justice with his perfect narration. No child (or adult) could fail to be delighted.

very funny

Stig was great, his troubles with the modern world made for a hilarious tale, very enjoyable.

This was a childhood favourite I'd forgotten about. Still as great now as i remember. Compelling story lines, great characters, masterful reading.

Thank you Clive and Martin!
