Summary

Ahren and his companions journey on to Evergreen, finding new courage after the traumas of the Green Sea. Setting off, then, to traverse the continent in search of the missing Paladin Yollock, it isn't long before they find themselves sucked into a maelstrom of adventures involving a woman who has been robbed, a desperate Cape Verstaad grandee, not to mention a cutthroat city which proves itself a veritable nest of ne'er-do-wells. Controlled by the brilliant assassin Reik Silvermantle, this hub of lawlessness and immorality presents Ahren and his friends with one of their greatest challenges . . .

Good but different

I finished this listen this afternoon. Loved being back in this world and hearing the next part of the story.

I know others have mentioned the change in narrator. Admittedly it takes some getting used to. However, Stuart Crank is very good in his own right. My mind is still programed to expect Gildhart Jackson though.

Rounding this off, Enjoyable story and can't wait to listen to the next one.

I must say I dont understand...

Why was the original narrator replaced? Although the story itself was fantastic, I found myself feeling as if I was listening to an entirely new book rather than picking up where I left off in the 10th installment. Even some of the names were being pronounced differently compared to the first 10 books. I sincerely hope that the previous narrator will return for the next one.

New narrator - Noooo

Continuation of the great story marred by the change in narrator. Characters I’ve grown to know are now all different and just sounds wrong. Very disappointing.

Great for the imagination.

I grew to love the characters gildart Jackson is a brilliant narrator so I was somewhat concerned when he was replaced. I gave him a chance to win me over and I was glad I did because he was really good too. I enjoyed his interpretation of the voices very much. Only one critical point for the Author would be that Aaron the main character seems to clench his fists a lot and shivers and shudders just as much. Sometimes he comes across as being a bit of a liability. A very enjoyable series non the less.

Same gang and storytelling, but good!

Similar vibe to the rest of the series, easy and good. New narrator, but give it an hour or so and you get used to it. He’s good as well. Looking forward to start the new book

Why change the narrator?

The story was good but I don’t understand why the change in the narrator? It just spoiled what we were used too, regarding the characters voices.
