Delightful
Pure absorbing entertainment. What are the chances, right? But that’s why I read fiction. Loved that the modern day happy ending does not invalidate the main characters life outside of the romance.

Lily never disappoints
It Was Amazing! I loved everything about the story and I look forward to reading more of Lily's books. Philippa is also brilliant.

Gorgeous!
A gorgeous, fun, and thoroughly heartwarming story. An amazing narrator brought all the characters to life, and the story was really thoughtfully told with humour and sincerity in equal measure.

Mixed feelings
The book was a mixed bag for me. The story was interesting but I wasn't fond of the main character. I thought she was selfish, self-righteous, hypocritical, whiny and self-absorbed. She preferred to think harshly of others so that she could feel good about herself. The only reason I completed the book was because of the other characters. It took multiple characters to balance the one main character. I found her to be very annoying. Even her internal dialogue was annoying. Another thing that helped the book was the narrator. I thought she was very good. I always knew which character was speaking and the narrator gave the right emotion for each scene.

Funny and warming Rom Com
I really wasn’t sure to start with but soon realised it was going to be a great listen, lots of twists and turns and angst , did really love the story and would definitely make a fantastic film loved all the characters

better than I thought
The narrator was good and the story was better. Easy to follow, a good hook that keeps you listening and u can't beat an unrealistic yet realistic romance. Also shines light on racism in a light but powerful way.
