Summary

A cosmopolitan title to get excited about in 2018!

Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases - a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with as well as way less experience in the dating department than the average 30-year-old. It doesn't help that she has Asperger's and that French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. She decides that she needs lots of practice - with a professional - which is why she hires escort Michael Phan.

The Vietnamese-Swedish stunner can't afford to turn down Stella's offer, and he agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan - from foreplay to more-than-missionary position... Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses but also to crave all of the other things he's making her feel. Their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges convinces Stella that love is the best kind of logic...

**Blush**

I don't normally read romance novels but because this was about an autistic woman I wanted to give it a try. There are some parts that made me blush but I powered through them and absolutely loved the story. I got major book hangover when I finished this and had nothing to fill that void!

Loved it!

Such an unusual and quirky book about Stella who has autism. She knows that she finds it hard to relate to people so she embarks on sex lessons with an escort, Michael.

It is funny, charming and so cute, that I am tempted to read it all over again! I loved all the side characters and the author did a great job on a tricky subject. Michael is delicious.

I thought the narrator was excellent too.

A 5* all round!!

Not what I expected. Listened to the end but annoyingly obvious.

I thought this book would talk a lot more about the intricacies of living with Aspergers and be a bit cleverer about the story line. The story was sexually explicit but that was a bit boring rather than making it more exciting. I listened to the end as I did want to find out what happened but it’s a bit predictable.

The nuances of people

Easy reading touching upon the complexities of people, how their past affects their present decisions and perspective with an innocent account of a rekationship and sexiness thrown in. A delightful enjoyable read

Good insight into how autism can effect relationships

if you are familiar with female autism, then you are aware that there are common ways it can very similarly present itself. However you will also know that traits can present themselves very differently from one female to another and no 2 people are alike. if female autism is something you are unfamiliar with, this book gives you some good insight into how females with autism copy 'mask' behaviour in order to fit in and how they learn to cope with the everyday struggles most people either don't notice or pay no attention to in everyday life, it gives some good insight as to how exhausting it can be, especially when it come to navigating relationships and friendships. As a mother of 2 daughters with autism and a woman who has it myself, my only criticism and it's a small one as I thoroughly enjoyed the book, is that it doesn't touch on the all too common 'melt downs' that occur when the brain and body have been coping with over stimulation, new experiences or simply having to make conversations. miss communication is common place and all these issues often result in blow ups and arguments. the book did a good job in showing how difficult it can be to put into words, how to express our feelings and emotions.
an excellent book that is excellently performed, it made me smile that there were so many elements to it that I could relate to. I highly recommend.

How cute is this??

Reread 17/12-19/12

This hits different after my own diagnosis but it's still one of the cutest books I've ever read.

First read 23-24/12 2008
This is one of the cutest books I've ever read. Stella is such a bad ass. She doesn't let her condition define her, even letting it take her out of her comfort zone on more than one occasion. Michael is precious. He's trying to be everything to everyone in his family and I love him to death. Beautifully written and such immersive characters. I will re read this for sure.

A bit predictable but enjoyable

This was a solid story with some saucy scenes. I found the characters interesting, but the ending a bit rushed and predictable.

Cute, Spicy but lackluster

I enjoyed a large portion of it but I did not like the finale and had to push to finish it. Overall the characters were a bit 1D and trait orientated.
