Sucked me in
I listen to books at work and my shift just kept ending like no time had passed not many books do that same with the first book

Excellent Addition
Any additional comments?
I recommend listening to the female sections at x1.25 speed. I'm not familiar with Xe Sands pace but I found a speed adjustment made for a more enjoyable experience.

Sexy?
Way too much sex in this one. The second last chapter is for the most part an hour long sex scene, and that is after already having gone through several lengthy sex scenes already in the last few chapters. It just becomes too much... like a bad erotic novel.
Battle scenes are good though... as is the overall story.
The performance from the main narrator is kinda "meh" still, every character sounds the same.
XE is better, although rather low in volume. She may have more of a future in audio narration. The main guy should look at another career, I'd do a better job than him.

trying to be 50 Shades of Gray
I really enjoyed it apart from the descriptive sex, really took away from the story and felt. like filler. The story would be exactly the same without it in fact it would be better.

More sexual then I thought it was going to be haha
It follows on right after the last book.
I wasn’t sure about the female reader but ended up enjoying how she read it.
Took me a little bit of time to get into this one but I ended up enjoying it.
If you liked the first one this one keeps everything going.

The story continues
The story is still as interesting as book one. The mystery deepens and we learn more in flashbacks. Some of the battle scenes are very good, balanced out by some truly bad sex scenes.
As others have mentioned the female narrator is just awful. I'm sure she would be bearable in a romance novel but most of the time she sounds like she's slurring, she is way too quiet and her voice suits none of her characters at all.
I am going to listen to book 3 because I am enjoying the series but the narrator is totally ruining it for me. The male narrator has improved and it's very good to listen to in this book.
