Summary
Then.
Ella, Max, Corey, Fallon and Zane. The Fearless Five, inseparable as children growing up in a sleepy English seaside town. But when Max's older sister is killed, the friendship seems to die with her.
Now.
Only Max and Ella are in touch, still best friends and a couple since they were 13. But Ella is hiding things - like why she's afraid to take their relationship to the next level. And when underdog Corey is bullied, the Fearless Five are brought back together again, teaming up to wreak havoc and revenge on those who have wronged them.
But when the secrets they are keeping can no longer be kept quiet, will their fearlessness be enough to save them from themselves?

Not as good as others by Skuse
Loved the Sweetpea series and Alibi girl so much I thought I was really in for a treat but I feel a bit let down by this one. No spoilers but I felt a little cheated by the ending.

Brilliant.
Could not stop listening once the story took shape. Admittedly a few years were shed.

Disappointed
I was quite disappointed with this book.
After thoroughly enjoying her sweetpea series I was looking forward to another book by Skuse.
However, this story felt slow and drawn out which wasn’t helped by the narrator whose voice and characters I found to be quite irritating.

Fantastic, heartbreaking, hard to put down
i lost a nights sleep because of this book! i just couldnt stop listening! Its fantastic, both heart warming and heart breaking. Now one of my new favourite authors.
The narrator is slightly annoying at times, especially when she is doing Neils voice. But, she isnt terrible and doesnt distract from the fantastic story

Exceptional twist in the tale!
Another amazing read from C. J. Skuse! This author has me hooked!! Her style of writing is perfectly complimented by the narrator.

Young Adults only
Jesus why oh why do they not lable these titles???????? I kind of liked Sweetpea, another title by this author, so i bought this one. Sweetpea is designed for adults and this one isn't grrrrrrrh. I would also ask the author whether she thinks it is a good idea to paint death and subiquent after life as quite so rosey. Bearing in mind that teenage suicides are apparently on the rise..........just a thought!
