Story
From the Stone Age to the Greek Tragedies, from Shakespeare to Robin Hood, we have always had our heroes. The hero is at the centre of formative myths in every culture and persists to this day in world-conquering books, films and TV shows. But why do these characters continue to inspire us, and why are they so central to storytelling? Scalpel-sharp on the roots of storytelling and enlightening on the history and science of myth, The Hero is essential listening for anyone trying to write or understand fiction.

Whether or not anyone believes him, Bob Burke isn’t the kind of guy to let a thing like that rest. He knows what he saw, and it isn't going to end well for the men responsible. Mild-mannered and slight of build, this telecommunications company executive is easily dismissed as the "phone guy".

Summary
Random House presents the audiobook edition of The Fourth Man by Lee Child, read by Jeff Harding.
The brand new Jack Reacher stand-alone short story that sees Reacher going down under for the first time - but possibly not the last. It's a short listen but perfect for a coffee break.
Jack Reacher, ex-military drifter of no fixed abode, is stalked and tracked down by an FBI agent. She tells him that in a house raid in Sydney, Australian law enforcement found a list. There were four people on it, including him. The other three are dead.
Hours later, Reacher is in the air, on his way to Sydney. What was the evil buried 25 years ago that has now resurfaced?
Will Reacher be able to find the killers before they find him?

Brief..!
An all too brief slice of Reacher.. I'm really not keen on these short stories.. it's pretty much like film companies and directors using scenes from a film which was consigned originally consigned to the cutting room floor.. Childs probably pumped this out over coffee on morning.. a thin effortless piece.. a little effort and he could produce something which much more substance more than once a year.. Narration as always up to par and polished.

Short Lack Luster.
Not Lee Child's Best work, nothing of substance here.
I personally don't care, but some some Australians will find Jeff Harding's Accents cringe-worthy.
Marginal plot, no clever moments.
