Summary

Farin and his congenial demon stinker are concentrating on his attempt to become a good squire.

A chance at fame comes with the Great Knight Tournament, but the gravedigger’s son learns the sad news of his father’s death and must travel back to his village to bury him.

Meanwhile, the bounty on the escaped orphan Aross’ head is growing by the week, and she is being hunted down by the town watch of Hubstone. At the harbor, she strikes up a friendship with the artist Ki.

When the city’s rival underworld gangs meet to settle their differences in the great cathedral, Aross intervenes, to dramatic effect....

Great Fun to read

just brilliant

Endlessly entertaining, the combination of the narrators voice (very reminiscent of the late great Tim Curry), the brilliant storyline, and the clever combination of an older setting with more modern language is both joyful and exciting to listen to. Can't wait to get the next one in the series , fantastic.

loved it

excellent second book, ended on a nail biter, I'm going to have to grit my teeth and wait for my next credit day to buy the next one😁. I thank the author for giving names to the main characters that are unusual but short and memorable.

Really enjoyable. The Characters have developed so well in this volume making such a smooth transition from book1 to 2. Starting book 3 as soon as I hit, submit on y review.

Amazing

Loved the book, can't wait to buy the last part.
The Narrator is amazing, story ? marvelous and exciting,
really liked the plot at the end of it, 10/10 would suggest.
