About this listen
Scandals. Secrets. Silence.
When the grandson of the great Herring King is found dead in a newly renovated pilot house on the beautiful island of Smögen, Nathalie Colette and Sandra Haraldsson are first on the scene.
Ruled as a suicide, the case baffles them as the victim was set to inherit the large fortune from his father who has just passed away.
But is it suicide? And if so, what is really going on in the old merchant's house on Smögenbryggan?
´The Herring King´ is the third part of ´The Smögen Murders´ series.
Anna Ihrén grew up in Stockholm and Gothenburg but spent her childhood summers on the island of Smögen. Her series of crime novels 'The Smögen Murders' has become very popular, 'The Man on the Beach' being the first book in the series.

Story ruined by poor recording
The story might be excellent but the production continually skips back to the beginning of the chapter before reaching the end of the chapter so it gets very confusing and I am never certain if I have heard the whole chapter.
