About this listen

NEW SCIENCE FICTION SERIES FROM THE CREATOR OF THE COBRA SERIES AND STAR WARS' ADMIRAL THRAWN.

There wasn’t much money to be made as a Trailblazer, searching out new worlds for possible development. Still, it was safer than the bounty hunter career that had cost Gregory Roarke his left arm six years ago. And thanks to his Kadolian partner Selene’s ultrasensitive sense of smell, they occasionally discovered a medically promising seed or spore they could sell under the table. It was a quiet life, uneventful and mostly legal.

Until Roarke was approached by two men with a proposal: track down a mysterious woman named Tera and, through her, locate a secret project called Icarus.

The challenge was intriguing. The unlimited budget was tempting. But Roarke had a more personal reason to accept the job.

The chance for long-delayed payback.

Timothy Zahn and Marc Thompson. The perfect combin

Yet another great story beautifully narrated. What a great combo these two are. Characters to relate to and an emersive tale to follow. Another 10/10 from me

Just ok

Struggled to finish. Sorry just did not seem to engage me and it felt like one encounter followed by another without a clear connection.

great narrator but not the quality of his other books

came to this as someone who loves the two recent Thrawn trilogies, with their fully realised characters one gets deeply invested in.

this isn’t that - characters are basically sketched. action action plot twist plot twist. the narrator is - as always- great, so if that type of book is your kind of thing go for it. but people who appreciated the Thrawn books for the characterisation should probably steer clear .
