Summary
Completely gripping psychological suspense
Sarah Morgan is a successful and powerful defense attorney in Washington D.C. At 33 years old, she is a named partner at her firm and life is going exactly how she planned.
The same cannot be said for her husband, Adam. He is a struggling writer who has had little success in his career. He begins to tire of his and Sarah’s relationship as she is constantly working.
Out in the secluded woods, at Adam and Sarah’s second home, Adam engages in a passionate affair with Kelly Summers.
Then, one morning everything changes. Adam is arrested for Kelly’s murder. She has been found stabbed to death in Adam and Sarah’s second home.
Sarah soon finds herself playing the defender for her own husband, a man accused of murdering his mistress.

Very predictable but still enjoyable
I guessed who committed the murder pretty much straight away and then spent the rest of the book hoping it wouldn’t be that obvious….. but it was! Not the most believable story with some cliched characters, but still a relatively enjoyable easy listen. A solid 3 stars

Was ok - murderer expected mid read
Story line was good and liked that it got straight into it. Kept me entertained but wouldn’t say it great or amazing like others I have read.
Story line was decent, didn’t like murderer was revealed right at the end. Wasn’t much of a build up and already knew who it was.
Little disappointed.

Story with a twist that feels a little implausible
Wasn’t a great listen. The characters are hard to relate to- I didn’t like any of them- so it feels uncomfortable most of the way through. The most outstanding part is the twist at the end, but it didn’t feel plausible and there was no real cohesion with the rest of the story.

Gripping from the start
Never read anything by this author before and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The book is so gripping right from the start. You develop a love for the 2 main characters even though one of them is on trial for murder. There are plenty of surprises, twists and turns along the way. I didn't enjoy the performance at the start but after a while it grew on me. would surely recommend 👌

I was absolutely hooked from the first sentence. Incredibly captivating story with a brilliant twist. I am however disappointed that Scott’s email was so incorrect.

Tremendous
I have no idea why Scott didn't like this book. It is fast paced and does keep you guessing. I did guess the end but I read thrillers constantly so I guess most endings.
Definitely give it a go.
