About this listen

Clint Emerson, retired Navy SEAL and author of the bestselling 100 Deadly Skills, presents an explosive, darkly funny, and often twisted account of being part of an elite team of operatives whose mission was to keep America safe by whatever means necessary.

Clint Emerson is the only SEAL ever inducted into the International Spy Museum. Operating from the shadows, with an instinct for running towards trouble, his unique skill set made him the perfect hybrid operator.

Emerson spent his career on the bleeding edge of intelligence and operations, often specializing in missions that took advantage of subterfuge, improvisation, the best in recon and surveillance tech to combat the changing global battlefield. MacGyvering everyday objects into working spyware was routine, and fellow SEALs referred to his activities simply as “special shit.” His parameters were: find, fix, and finish—and of course, leave no trace.

The Right Kind of Crazy is unlike any military memoir you’ve ever read because Emerson is upfront about the fact that what makes you a great soldier and sometimes hero doesn’t always make you the best guy—but it does make for damn good stories.©2019 Clint Emerson (P)2019 Simon & Schuster UK

Not even finished but 10/10

This audiobook is exactly what I was hoping it to be. Having seen Clint on various YouTube videos I was hoping the audiobook was contain his dry humour and awesome stories and this didn’t disappoint. Easy to follow and only half way through but love it!!

high five

This is worth a read/listen if you are a fan of Clints other books, I'd love to meet Clint & learn a thing or two from him in person but I thought this book would be better, understandably a lot has been redacted but I expected a bit more meat on the bone regarding his other books, when, how & why did he use the skills & how did did they work out?
but without doubt an exceptional human being

Ok that's about all

Could have been a really great book but sadly far far too many redactions!! got more frustrating as you went along. Well read good pace and voice but ultimately disappointing. A very kind 3 stars more a high end 2 tbh for me.

Dull as dishwater

The book never gets going, the narration is just awful,

I see the author has a book out called 100 deadly skills i wonder if the main one is boring people to death?

Give this book a skip.

If you want to learn about trailer trash culture, this is the book for you. Every negative American stereotype you can imagine is touched on in this book. To be fair the author is honest about his experiences. But if its an inspiring role model you want, give this a skip.
