Summary

A hilarious, straight-talking listen for fans of Fiona Neill and Gill Hornby's The Hive.

Feisty Maia Etxeleku is a cleaner for ladies who lunch. She spends her life wiping up spilt Sauvignon and hoovering around handbags before rushing back home to skivvy after her children's feckless father on an estate where survival depends on your ability to look the other way. But an unusual inheritance catapults her into a different world where no child can survive without organic apricots and Kumon maths classes - and no woman can contemplate a week without Pilates and pedicures.

As she blunders through a middle-class minefield, dashing from coffee mornings to her mops and buckets, she is drawn to the one man who can help her family fit in. But is his interest in her purely professional or will her modern My Fair Lady experiment end in disaster?

Outstanding

Confession time!
This was the very first audiobook I ever bought, about 4-5 years ago.
I don’t know why but I really didn’t like it! I think I listened to 15 minutes, and asked for a refund.
Fast forward to 2 months ago, I came across Other People’s Marriages by Kerry Fisher, I loved it and - as you do - I bought all of her audiobooks one after the other (loved all of them).
I left this one as last because I knew I already attempted it.
I’d say I saved the best for last!
I absolutely loved listening to this book! Loved the characters (apart from the ones whom you’re not meant to love Lol), Maya, Clover, Mr Peters (Mmmmm) and the twists are great! Perfect delivery by the talented narrator Sally Orrock.
Loved the storyline, and really, massively enjoyed listening to this book!
Please write lots more great books Kerry! 🙏🏼💝

A story that shows how money can change your life but not who you are

Absolutely loved this book, laugh out loud at times. The narration was superb. Found it difficult to put down, yet now I’ve finished it I want to start it over again. I only have one small gripe and that is that I wished it had finished a few chapters before it did as I felt it would have had a more natural ending

Simply the best book I've ever read/heard

When the book started I was hooked, it was so interesting all the character's seemed so real and Zac well just wait and see what you think of him, I could definitely fall for the man if he was a real person and I was 30 years younger 😂🤣.
I wished I had heard of Kerry Fisher before, I normally read/hear Crime books but it's great to have a change.
I'm so sure your 😍 love the storyline 🤓.
