Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

The edge-of-your-seat, heart-in-mouth new Jack Reacher thriller for 2020 - his 25th adventure. No one's bigger than Jack Reacher.

Jack Reacher gets off the bus in a sleepy no-name town outside Nashville, Tennessee. He plans to grab a cup of coffee and move right along.

Not going to happen.

The town has been shut down by a cyber attack. At the centre of it all, whether
he likes it or not, is Rusty Rutherford. He's an average IT guy, but he knows more than he thinks.

As the bad guys move in on Rusty, Reacher moves in on them...

And now Rusty knows he's protected, he's never going to leave the big man's side.

Reacher might just have to stick around and find out what the hell's gone wrong...and then put it right, like only he can.

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be read in any order, The Sentinel is the 25th in the series.

And be sure not to miss Reacher's adventure, no.26, Better off Dead!

Punchy and detailed

Looked forward to getting this book on audible. Very detailed as only Lee Child does.
Lots of sub plots overall a good yarn

Not the usual Reacher story

I always enjoy listening to a Jack Reacher tale, especially narrated by Jeff Harding, seemed a bit diluted this one though, not the usual Reacher take no prisoners story.. Looking forward to the next one though.

Not enough “reacher said nothing”

Since reading The Sentinel I decided to re read a couple of the original books as research
The Sentinel is very “wordy”
For me .. a few more instances of “Reacher said nothing” would have been worth several pages of description
The story was very relevant for the times we are living in at present
But I found it over long..
As a first effort it was ok..there was obviously a lot of pressure to make another best seller
If anyone else performed the next Reacher book
I would not buy itl

Lee Child doesn't disappoint in the latest Reacher

Good storyline and very apt for the US at present helped by Jeff Harding's performance

Great story but a bit repetitive.

Fight scenes are described twice? What Reacher normally does, then what he actually does. Why?

Excellent return to form

I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It is like a welcome return to form. While slightly tonally different, it brought me back to the early Reacher. In my opinion, the last few books were forced. Great reading, as usual.Recommended for all Reacher fans.

as ever, bubblegum for when thinking is overrated

does exactly what it's supposed to . Escapism about an unaccountable sociopath, as unaging as Bart Simpson

Not the best

I love Jack Reacher but I feel Lee Child is running out of ideas. Narration was as ever spot on and probably the only thing that kept me going.
Come on Lee time to up your game.
