Life changing

An absolute life changer! Listen to it all, soak it all up and the go and apply! Anyone with a heartbeat should have, own, read and revisit this book time and time again. Am very very grateful I stumbled across this!

A new way of seeing life

I had no idea yoga had such meaning, mind body spirit yes I understand this but it goes much deeper!
How food can help balance you and days of the week can leads to different things.
It was read a little too fast for me with so much information to take in, I believe he could of paused in between.

I didn’t want it to end

This broke down the special laws in succinct and easy format. Loved the pace and breakdown of the Laws.
I’ve been practicing for some time and am a yoga teacher but this is suitable for anyone who wants to have a deeper understanding of this beautiful discipline.

very insightful. loved it. Very good narrator.

l loved listing to this book. I found it very informative, and would listen to it again. In a very rushed world that we live in it is good just to take time and listen to the basics of for love and tranquility.

Clearly spoken and explained

Clear articulation of the spiritual laws of yoga. That give the listener clear instruction on how to connect on a deeper level, inside and outside. offering fundamental principles and morale conduct that can serve to enhance one's experience of life, spiritually and physically - through practice.

Yoga law

I really enjoyed this book , nice and simple , not to much senseless info but just good practical methodology, a good book for someone who wants to know what yoga is about on a deeper level but not so much they just give up trying to understand 🕉👍

Loved this audible

Easy to understand and learned loads of new techniques to compliment my yoga practice.
Definitely recommend it and will be returning again to read it.

Interesting Read

So I'd like to start by talking about the narration. While the narrators voice was clear and well pronounced, it was strange having an American accent reading about the history of yoga. I'm not saying that every book on yoga should be narrated by someone of Indian desent. But it did take some getting used to and was a little jarring.


As for the book itself I like how they included the traditional words with a translation. The history was clearly and succinctly explained, and was very enjoyable.

However, when it came to explaining the physical exercises I found it impossible to follow them. Not sure if this was down to the instructions or the fact that I'm a more visual learner or maybe both.

I found it concerning that during the breathing exercises, the writer encourages people to do exercises even if they are having problems breathing. At one point the writer wrote words to the effect of 'if you have an asthma attack stop and when your breathing returns normal try again.' Absolutely not, if the experience is causing issues with breathing then you shouldn't do. This was very dangerous advice.

On a more positive note, the book goes on to talk about not pushing yourself to hard, the importance of mental state and being comfortable while practicing yago. All of which are extremely positive aspects of the practice that don't get talked about enough in the Western world.
