Highly recommended

The reviewer who likens this to a Coen Brothers movie is spot on. Cringing as the characters lurched from crisis to crisis I then found the ending unexpectedly quite moving. I loved this book and the narration is excellent.

picaresque western

Enjoyable and dark: somewhere between Blood Meridian and Alias Smith and Jones.
Narration fits perfectly.

Surprise

I enjoyed the book from start to finish, it was hard to put down. The narration was excellent. I believe a lot of authors of today’s pulp fiction would benefit reading this book. Excellent

A Gem

An unusual plot which is beautifully crafted and narrated. The relationship between the brothers is sympathetically drawn, and their interaction with others so vivid it was almost filmic. An absorbing listen without a wasted word.

Well worth the listen. Very satisfying.

Engaging western that kept me immersed all along. The cool narration certainly made listening better than reading with each character credibly presented. Little need for a film version as I feel I’ve already seen it.

A truly remarkable Book

I have really enjoyed listening to this book.
while the book is totally Not what I was expecting, it is engrossing and very well written. The narrator brings the character's feelings to life. I would highly recommend this book, it's one of best I have heard for quite a while. Enjoy.

A must.

An Odyssey. Beautifully written, masterfully performed. Great character development, even for the smallest parts. I felt like I knew them personally. Can't wait to listen again.

really interesting story, well narrated.

the story of two rough mean killer brothers, as they send their way through their final job... truth revealed and the place to end their days... I loved it, would never have believed I would listen to a wild west story.
