About this listen

In the aftermath of a hurricane, a series of strange events plague the coastal waters off Florida. People go into the water and never return. Corpses of killer whales drift ashore, ravaged from enormous bite marks. A fishing trawler is found adrift, with a mysterious gash in its hull.

Transferred to the coastal town of Merit, police officer Leonard Riker uncovers the horrible reality of an enormous thresher shark lurking off the coast. Forty feet in length, it has taken a territorial claim to the waters near the town harbor. Armed with three-inch teeth, a scythe-like caudal fin, and unmatched aggression, the beast seeks to kill anything sharing the waters.

Pretty good.

It sort of grows on the reader as it progresses. Not bad at all although it has many inaccuracies about boats and marine biology.

Good story

I love a good creature story, and this didn't disappoint. Good story and good characters. Up there with jaws and the meg for me personally

Better than expected

This is a rehash of Jaws I was put off at first because thrashers are not big enough to kill Great Whites but bare with it, still very entertaining

Nice easy listen

normally read a lot of fantasy books, wich are normally trilogies etc and I like some easy listens between epics.

this was just a fun read, it's simple a easy plot, lots of action, mostly predictable and over in a few days.

its free, listen to it, enjoy a book that can only be shoved somewhere between jaws and the meg.

A Jawesome Read

If you love shark related stuff especially Jaws then you'll totally like Thresher. It knows that it's a silly concept but it has fun with it.

An interesting book, nice to have a thresher shark as the antagonist, gives megs and great whites a day off

Great gory fun

Well read. Well written. Well worth the purchase.
I’m a fan of Jaws.
This is Jaws on steroids. Great characters of which I cared about/disliked/wanted to survive/wanted to be eaten.
Great monster, enough gore to quench my blood thirsty nature, and I’m very happy with my purchase.

Nothing New But Good Entertainment

Fairly clichéd but still fun with well written characters, many of whom I enjoyed spending time with and plenty of others with fish food written all over them. Perfectly read, too.
Overall, it is good entertainment for sea monster story fans like me. It doesn't pull any surprises or add anything unique to the pantheon of sea based horror out there, but it's a good, simple listen that engrosses you into the action and the people.

Great book, however...

If you really love the word however, then you will love this book. If not, you might want to take some pauses in between. Good story, however, however..
