A joy for all time.

A delightful realisation of the text beautifully and sensitively achieved by the narrator. A book to return to, evoking On the Road, Huckleberry Finn and much more besides.

Great Audiobook

I loved this audiobook, I’ve seen the film a few times so putting faces to the characters was great apart from the characters that aren’t in the movie.

Being Scottish helped with the dialogue as I live not far away from Edinburgh and the narrator does an amazing job brining characters to life.

If you loved the film, you’ll enjoy this. Looking forward to Skagboys and Dead Men’s Trousers ( due out on 29th March 2018 & narrated by the same guy ).

Funny, dark and fantastic

I mean an absolute classic I wanted to read it but struggled to understand where it’s written with a lot of Scottish slang.

Also thought the narration was rather good.

Storyline and Narration top of class

Fantastic writing paired with the best narration I’ve heard to date (and I’ve been a member for 10 years). Highly recommended.

A gritty insight into Edinburgh's dark side.

loved it. The movie is not a patch on the book. I look forward to reading the sequel and prequel.

Brilliant narration, full of sarcasm and bile

Funny, dark, critical of society, a highly detailed account of characters and their personal tragedy

Much needed audio to understand the full power

I found Trainspotting the book a bit difficult to get through & the film was great but I wanted to see the differences in the text. I was recommended the audiobook & oh boy is it indispensable. It works better spoken than read especially if you're not familiar with Scots as a language & the performer does a great job bringing all the characters to life. Grim yet transcendental, there's nothing like Trainspotting.
