About this listen

When another body drops at Charity Basham’s feet, or more accurately, in her craft store Sassy Supplies, she sets out to find the killer, hoping it wasn’t one of her customers as Detective Sota believes.

Who would want to kill YouTube DIY Decorating sensation Serena Jackson?

Surly Kira Neugenbauer, whose glares are like daggers?

Lola, the newcomer to town, with the cartoon-red hair?

Bill Steiger, the grumpy old man, whose wife dragged him to craft night in the first place?

Charity's questions lead to an array of aggravated acquaintances, and one terrifying car crash turned attempted murder. Will she be able to uncover the killer, or will the killer cover her up instead?

Lovely quick read

The season of Autumn can bring loads of wonderful things...the foliage is changing and turning gorgeous colours, it's the perfect time to make and bake all sorts of yummy treats and foods and the weather is cooling down for many around the world. But for some people, they just seem to hold a chip on their shoulders all the time. Happiness is contagious, mean and hateful? Not so much. Great characters! The narrator brings each character to life.

A seasonal mystery

I enjoyed this fun short mystery. I liked the first book in this series but only gave it a four star because it was too short for my liking. I don't think this book was any longer but somehow the author packed more into the story making it more of a mystery or at least gave you more suspects, hence the five stars. I liked the characters and the setting for the murder, a nice and usual job. It even has what could turn into a romance and of course what all good cozy mysteries contain a loveable pet and interfering parents. I said a lot goes on in this short story. Off to start the next book.
Charity is hoping to getting in more customers into her craft shop and tries her assistants idea of having a guest teacher hold a class. Things are going well until the YouTube star is killed in the bathroom. With no way anybody else could have gotten into the store the suspects pool is small but that means one of her customers is a killer. The police want her to stay out of it but Charity needs to get to the bottom of this mystery before the holiday season starts.
I liked the narrator. She has a pleasant sounding voice and makes the story sound entertaining.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
