About this listen
Oliver Hartsell had no idea that when he went to repair Mr. Austin's windows he'd end up proposing to the man's daughter, but that's exactly what happened. He didn't regret it because he’d been secretly in love with Marie for a long time.
However, he doubts she feels the same way about him, but he's determined that she will. Yet, life has a way of throwing unexpected surprises. Set in 1961 in small-town America, this is historical fiction at its best.

Definitely a cute story!
Maria’s pregnant and her abusive Daddy forces her to marry the handyman. He is her age and seems like a very sweet person and the more she’s around them the more she likes them. When problems and so he proves he is dependable and will stand by her side. Are usually love this authors books but I couldn’t get over how the narrator made her fiancé sound almost mentally retarded. If not that then very simple and I couldn’t see how she would be attracted to him and again are usually love his narration but it seems for this one he was just office game or maybe I missed something in the dialogue that said he was simple I DK? The story was really good and there’s always Janice Cole Hopkins made god a primary point of focus in her books and I love that about them but this just wasn’t one of my favorites.
