He and his acolyte Spinoza run down their leads in secret, knowing that their every move invites danger, but even as they begin to reveal the truth, a greater peril is unfolding in the skies - the Great Rift is becoming manifest. During the madness that threatens to tear Terra asunder, Crowl’s Inquisitorial base of operations comes under attack and is badly ravaged. As his world begins to unravel and a new, bloody age dawns, can Crowl stay true to his course and expose the horror that lies at the heart of the Hollow Mountain?

Superb book

I read the 2 vaults books one after the other and absolutely loved them, the narration was outstanding and the story itself fantastic, it left me wanting much more of this tale

no closure

The book follows up nicely on the previous one. The story is gripping but there seems to be no closure. I understand cliffhangers but nothing seems to be resolved in this book. And as if yet (September 2021) there is no sequel out to get the answers. Short: good but left me wanting.

Good read prefer the first.

Good read great narration. Preferred the first book, little bit of a lacklustre build up to the end and the main antagonist. Still good though

Pinnacle of W40k and naratio

It furthers story of the entire W40k universe significantly in an amazingly written and perfectly narated story.

Recommended

This is the second book out of three. The whole series is one of the best I have read in WH40k. The performance is outstanding.

Good but

Great books I've really enjoyed the two vaults of terra of books I have listed to but I don't know a lot about the warhammer universe so I do struggle to understand some bits. Great for fans who know bot not for newcomers.

It's alright

I enjoyed the story in parts but it felt like a lot of nothing for a long time. It took a while to get going and even when things happened there was too much mystery to the point that moments lost their punch as you didn't know what was happening.

Chris Wraight is going from strength to strength. Now unfortunately have to wait for the next part.
