Summary

The Vikings on the Island of Man are set on revenge. Their families have been kidnapped and taken to Ireland. They have to find them and rescue them. They find themselves fighting not only Hibernian warriors but renegade Vikings, too. The perpetrator of the act, Tadgh, escapes and a chase ensues.

A fast moving audiobook, the story moves quickly to the land of the Angles as Dragon Heart seeks the treasure of Rheged.

Great saga continues

Easy listening, plenty of action and all brought to life by great narration. On a par with Bernard Cornwall, Conn Iggulden and Peter Gibbons in my opinion.

Worth listening to

Good characters and plot, steady pace, but with enough action to keep things exciting. The narrator tries to give every character their own voice, this is strange at first, but it makes the story flow better as you are never unsure who is speaking, very smart. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Even better than the first book

There was more diversity of characters and the story got more complex. I am looking forward to book 4.

Great series with good plot

I like the speed of the story here which moves rapidly and has tales of fine battles and revenge. the usual viling stuff
