About this listen
With Declan O'Carroll on Fairie and Chris Gordon on Earth, what could go wrong? Try everything. Scheming elves, deadly zombies, killer goblins, flaming dragons, and dirty diapers. With a growing, insidious threat to Earth, Chris and Tanya race to save lives while Declan, Stacia, and friends work just as hard to save their own lives on an alien world, far removed from the comforts and safety of home. Only together will they overcome the odds. But, come on, with this team, maybe the odds should look out.

Best narration of series so far.
Enjoying the series but was somewhat dissatisfied with the narrators lack of skills in differentiation to characters. Only took him 12 books to gain some skill! For the life of me, I couldn’t understand the awards he had won. I looked him up after book 2 and was incredulous by the amount of audible awards he had won! For what??? The books are really goo though and I have had to suffer him.

This series is excellent
This entire series is fantastic. it's completely unbelievable but who cares. If you're listening to it and don't suspend your beliefs in reality then you be listening to the wrong genre. I'm actually getting quite worried that there's only one more book to listen to as I've listened through the whole lot without a break and the only other series I've managed that with is The Dresden Files (which does have similarities). The Zombie Fallout series is another excellent one but even that can struggle a bit at times. The relationships between all the characters in this series is fantastic with excellent historical accuracy of the previous books. I found myself happy that certain characters get together and laugh out loud at some of the antics. I find something has to be good when fight scenes happen and you actually find yourself shouting out in support. Its a rare find to come across a series that can hold attention like this has for me and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes action, magic and humour. The author is a genius and I hope and pray that more books will follow soon so that once I listen to the next book I'm not left in the limbo of yet again having to find something else I can like..

Yet another good one, sorry, I mean 5 star one.
No spoilers so just going to say that it expands a lot on the main story arcs, (Chris/Tanya and Declan/Stacia).

Do the author get distracted?
Really poor book, to fumble a massive storyline and have it so appallingly delivered....is strange. Several chapters are so so boring nothing happens it’s as if the author added too many characters and gave none a firm place within the story line?

Good
Overall, the book is good, and the story is fast-paced. It is narrated well, like always. My cons about about are
1. It's not the Demon Accords anymore. John took the series in a different direction after Book 7. Focused more on Declan as another op main protagonist.
2. The story feels rushed as John is juggling 2 separate story lines in two separate locations whilst being told at the same time of each other as 2 separate protagonists.
3. John is going to big to fast, and the series is getting away from him. It's becoming jumbled and gets more chaotic
4. Fairie is good world and set up. But it has no bearing on earth and has nothing to do with demons. (Could have been its own series of books) but shoe horned into main story on earth. Not needed! Just filler!
5. Of all the directions, John could have taken the series he's gone with aliens and Fairie's and not with hell and demons. (He's lost sight of what Demons Accords are about Demons, not aliens or Fairies). These would make for a great story, but as their own series of books.

felt like a filler book
Nothing game changing. We got to see fairy in more detail and a new enemy however I was hoping to find out more about the elders, especially elder sal.
Hopefully next book?
Great performance from James as per usual.
