  • Creating Confidence in the Kitchen with Coach Kristy Baranovskis
    Jun 18 2024

In this episode, you will learn how Coach Kristy Baranovskis overcame emotional eating, changed her relationship to food, and gained confidence in the kitchen.

"From the time I can remember, I struggled with food. Food was the center of our family gatherings growing up. Over time, food became a comfort and also what I turned to when I was bored. The problem was the food I turned to was empty in calories and void of nutritional value. Sometimes you have an “ah-ha” moment. Mine happened on my 30th birthday while visiting my brother. I clearly remember standing on his deck, thinking that I did not want to eat like this any longer! Something had to change! I was so unhappy with myself. I was unhappy with the way I felt. I was unhappy with the example I was setting for my daughter."

  • Using the Tools of Yoga to Overcome Adversity & Thrive with Nicholas Weir
    Jun 4 2024

Nicholas Amritnam Weir grew up as an anxious, insecure and angry kid in Massachusetts during the 90’s. He used sports as a way to channel energy and alleviate frustration, however, the lack of concern he had for himself led to numerous physical injuries.

In 2001, at the age of 22, he was diagnosed bipolar, which seemed to explain his intense emotions as a young man. This diagnosis seemed to be the nail in the coffin, so to speak. Along with his physical injuries, life seemed to be over and further emotional turmoil would ensue.

In this episode you will learn how Amritnam turned his life around when he discovered the practice of yoga and used this ancient wisdom to heal.

Although Amritnam was hesitant at first to embrace the idea that yoga could help, as it was quite different from his upbringing, he eventually embraced the practice wholeheartedly. After dabbling in yoga for years Amritnam completed his first yoga teacher training in 2015 and then quickly completed another in 2016. The second training, which he completed with Guru Dharam Kalsa, opened his eyes to the magic of yoga and how we create our own reality. There was no turning back after that; the magic of yoga had him hooked and he dove in 100% to begin healing at the deepest of levels.

Amritnam has learned to navigate life in a different way. He has rewired his brain to understand not only how to handle the stress he does encounter but how to circumvent unnecessary stress so that he can use his energy for more worthwhile pursuits and live a life beyond his dreams. He no longer uses pharmaceutical medications to manage his emotions, but rather relies on his own innate ability to heal (the same ability we all have) and thrive in life.

Amritnam's goal with his company Yoga Strategy is to help people understand the deeper aspects of yoga so they too can foster the courage and strength to heal their mind, body and soul and live a life of fulfillment. He continually works with experts in the field like Ashok Kumar Malhotra and studies the work of people like Joe Dispenza in order to bring the most updated scientific findings to his students.
