About this listen

The afterlife isn't always what you think....

A loving father of three children, Albert lived a life of few regrets. He served his country far from home. He outlived his soul mate. He died alone.

However, his assumptions about a peaceful eternity, reunited with his wife, are thrown out the window when a meddling god digs his fingers into Albert's afterlife.

The positive? He will have a chance to see his wife again.

The negative? He has to survive the dangers of the legendary World Tree for the next 300 years. He's been reincarnated into a world full of magical evolutions, monstrous deer, sassy 10-year-old elves, and untold hidden dangers. It won't be easy, but if life has taught Albert anything it's this: If something is worth having, it's worth fighting for. And he intends to fight.

Very entertaining

I really liked this story. It was a good one to listen to while relaxing. The comedy was fun, and the action scenes were nice. I liked all the characters, since they were quite unique and had interesting interactions with Torga. The evolution system was interesting, and kept the plot moving forward. It was also quite nice that the author included many different environments and elements to induce new challenges. It wasn't a litterary masterpiece, but my enjoyment was still very high. If you're looking for Tolkien #2, this isn't it. If you're looking for a story to relax to, enjoy and chuckle at from time to time, I recommend this whole heartedly.

Great story, not suitable for kids though.

Listened through it in a day, and it is a decent story.
It is regretable that it doesn't have enough antagonists whom actually threatens the mc, and thus the plot, seems to be driven by curiosity about evolutions.
World building has a lot of concepts, names, places and content derived from the Asgardian pantheon, and the twists on the personas help round off the mysteries of a person by having them similar to thir name sharing mythical being.
Ending is a bit vague, and can both be seen as rounding off the book, and setting up for another.
I recomend for people 16+ who like Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Game, Other World story tags.

A great listen

Thoroughly enjoyed this book with its twist on seeing the story of evolution in a LitRPG from the perspective of a man turned monster. Loved the narrative of the story and the voice acting complimented it perfectly. Would highly recommend

Different, High energy Monster fun

Cool premise, Good story progression, fast pace, and interesting 'non-human' protagonist.

The only drawback is a phrasing slip up here and there, and the author is not great at describing the surroundings / setting very well. The reader may need to be a bit more creative in the 'theather of the mind' or happen to know a little more about Norse Mythology for instance.

A really nice take on the genre

For once in one of these types of books I actually like the protagonist, I had a fair bit of fun listening to this and I really hope it gets a sequel

A good read.

navigation was good, story was good and I honestly hope there is actually a sequel to it.

it was also nice to see a different perspective from the whole travel to A Different World trope.
