Very eye opening

I think it's right to start with a well done to Louise Allen for all the work she puts into the lives of the children she fosters - and of course her husband and other children also deserve praise.

As for the book itself, I won't give any spoilers but some of the story made me smile and some made me want to cry - and I'm a 52 year old man who doesn't openly show my emotions (that's a different story). The book is very eye opening- as is all Louise Allen's books as so much happens that we don't know about or possibly turn a blind eye to.

I would highly recommend all of her books - but would recommend keeping some tissues nearby.

Excellent read

A true story that shows the pit falls in the fostering system. Well written and shows that even the best foster carers sometimes can’t achieve what they would like but not for the want of trying

it's strange to say that you enjoy this type of book, however I found it emotional in parts and very pleased hearing the outcome.

I enjoyed this book but felt it was dragged out a bit at times. Well read but I got a little bit bored at times.

Sad story

Great book, such a sad story for a young child to have such a bad start in life. Our care system is not not good enough.
