Summary
Nothing could be more relaxing or sedate than a quiet game of bowls on a pristine bowling green bathed in the sunshine of an English summer's afternoon in the Cotswolds - unless there's a dead body lying on the grass.
Agatha Raisin becomes embroiled in a turmoil of jealousy and lies when the tranquillity of her local bowls club explodes into a storm of accusation and intrigue - and murder. Her private life is no less turbulent when a past suitor reappears just as her ex-husband seems intent on rekindling their romance, and her close friend, Bill Wong, is in danger of losing the woman he loves.
Events take an even darker turn when Agatha realises that, in pursuing the bowling green killer, she is putting her own life in danger....

Delightful
I was delighted by this as it was written (finished) by a ghost writer after MC Beaton’s death.
There were one of two moments at the beginning where it felt different, and I have heard that there are inconsistencies, but I loved it. I can’t wait to read or listen to the ones I’ve missed.

Enjoyable,
I have listen to quit a few of the raisin books , Penelope narrative is just the right voice . The story line, light, engaging, I even get some of the clues and guess the murderer, very enjoyable listen

Great storyline, lots of fun as usual
Aggie Raisin is relaxing and not taxing....i likf heavy tomes too but this is my go to rdlaxation seriss. Penny Keith IS Agatha Raisin there can be no other.....although I love the TV series as well. Ashley Jensen is wonderful too.....for TV everything shortened of course so very differant
i love the books i love the TV but far prefer the books purely for Penny Keith. 😄

Fabulous and Easy listening
I was deeply saddened when M.C.Beaton died.
I have enjoyed the Agatha Raisin series enormously.
As a writer M.C.Beaton has a prolific library of published work and I hoped there would be some "books in progress" left.
Thanks to the collaboration between M.C.Beaton and R.W.Green, Agatha Raisin has continued to shine .
In my humble opinion there is no other Actor, Vocal talent or person that encapsulates the true depths of Agatha Raisin to perfection than the truly wonderful and very talented Penelope Keith as always amazing narration .
