About this listen
The Dungeon falls silent. The trumpets of war sound nearer. The walls of our reality tremble.
Matt and many of his people are alive, and they've found a new ally, more or less, but the damage done to the dungeon and its future are beyond measure.
Time and great effort are needed to repair the cracks, to seal the warping and to rebuild, but the world after the fall isn't somewhere anyone can afford to wait around in. Matt and his people must push on, they must grow, they have to rise up if they are to have any chance of surviving, after all; The Nexus Gates are opening, and those that were hoped to be allies, or even one day friends, are not to be trusted . . .
Visitors will be coming soon, and who knows if a hand offered in friendship, hides a dagger . . . or a claw.

Can't wait for the next one 😁
I tried this series after a recommendation from Kevin Sinclair (Auther of God of the Feast. ) it's all set in and around Newcastle so pretty local to me and easy to understand the geography. An amazing alien/ magic/ scifi story that keeps me wanting more.

loving this series
Awaiting the next installment eagerly. a great mix of humour, life, litrpg, character development and connection and a good old fashioned dungeon crawl. loving the dungeon family and the gradual increase of personalities and stories. Another great story. Narrator has great pace and intonation, very enjoyable listen. This series got me hooked on litrpg.

Great addiction moves the story on
I’m really loving this series. This book moves the story on but it’s not as good as the others have been but the ending promises a great story to come. Again I love this series

Enjoyed it
A slow burn with this one, but I still found the book enjoyable on the whole. The main thing I was irritated by during it was the lack of thought to magic defence by the mc or those around him.
As an example, any random person who knew incinerate could have infiltrated and roasted Matt's brain in an instant, chances being especially high with teaching magic to be a focus for this book, yet it was never considered even once. No background checks or anything from John for example.
Even kids or just regular people learning magic (I can't remember if there were age restrictions in place by the system) could cause trouble if they knew a spell and had an in-the-moment tantrum.
On that note, a mention of people focusing on defensive magic, hardlight or whatever else would go a long way for me in the next book; make it feel more real. It could also make sense with the spacecraft being a thing in the future, and those shield users being technicians or whatever in the ships, specialising in the defence of it (not sure how all that's going to be integrated with user skills and the ships themselves)
As a community, getting their information written down in pamphlets, documents or however feasible would be nice too; would save the same speeches from being repeated over and over again. It would allow for rules to be shown, monster information to be displayed and researched or added to. I have to imagine they have the means somehow by this point, even if things are still hectic.
The narration was perfect as usual, no complaints
And as a final note, the ending was cruel and I can't wait for the next book!

Slow and steady
Slow burn but well needed after the near endless action of the first few books, great addition and can’t wait for the next instalment

Change of pace in the best way
This is one of the best dark post apocalyptic litrpgs out there. Books 1 - 4 was filled with constant action, guns blazing and a constant struggle for survival. But, this book is different. Not worse by any means, at all, this book focuses on solidifying their strength and building their defences. All in order to set up for future books.
Jez, I love what you have done with this book and I'm riding until the end!!!

Slow burn
I struggled to finish this time. It felt like listening to an anime filler. I did get through it, though, so not too bad; waiting on the next one already.
