Fast moving pace of Smedgries against the Evil Librarians. However will they win librarians are taking over the world , can they release the lands from under the Librarians evil control . Great actors

meta

very enjoyable! loved the pacing between action and emotion and the fun/silly interludes (which often make commentary on this very thing)
Entertaining characters and a world that seems totally absurd, but held together by (admittedly unique) logic

very enjoyable, listened with the children

Me and the children loved its cheeky narration style.
We will be getting the other books as a consequence.
Thankyou Mr Sanderson.

Something different

Brandon has messed about with your normal thought process with this book, well worth adding to your library.

Not my thing.

I love Sandersons other books, and figured I'd like the Alcatraz books too, even though I'm aware they're made for younger listeners and children. And I did, the story is still entertaining and the writing is good.

What I didn't like however was the dramatisation. The main narrator doing Alcatraz is excellent, and I would have preferred if he simply read the entire thing. Having other people read the lines of other characters would be alright as well, but the sound effects are only annoying, and the music is often too loud and simply take from the experience instead of adding to it.

I wish the books were available in normal audiobook format, in that case I wouldn't hesitate to get the rest. As is, I *might* get the others, but then it's in spite of the fact only dramatised adaptations are available on Audible, certainly not because of it.
