Summary

As a deputy commissioner for the ICC, Alan Decker’s job is to make sure the settlements on LV178 follow all the rules, keeping the colonists safe. But the planet known as New Galveston holds secrets, lurking deep beneath the toxic sands dubbed the Sea of Sorrows. The Weyland-Yutani Corporation has secrets of its own, as Decker discovers when he is forced to join a team of mercenaries sent to investigate an ancient excavation.

Somewhere in that long-forgotten dig lies the thing the company wants most in the universe - a living Xenomorph. Decker doesn’t understand why they need him, until his own past comes back to haunt him. Centuries ago, his ancestor fought the Aliens, launching a bloody vendetta that was never satisfied. That was when the creatures swore revenge on the Destroyer....Ellen Ripley.

Good story - not so good narration

I really enjoyed this novel, an interesting new take on the alien paradigm. The narration, particularly the female voices was still pretty poor though.

Another fantastic book in the alien book series

As said another fantastic book in this book series this isn't as high production as the first audible book but it is nether the less a superb listening experience with a healthy mix of horror and action

Non stop listening

I usually don’t write reviews, but felt I had to share the enjoyment of this book. I found it gripping entertainment from start to finish, well recommended.

Good story which often has you on the edge of your seat with the chest burster scenes been my favourite moments , Jeff Harding does another great job as the narrator

Fantastic, should be made into a film

As easy listening as you can get for an Aliens book. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to get started on the next.

A lot of drawn out waffle

As a true fan of the Alien franchise, this edition is no addition at all. The author has done a long drawn out waffle, with an eye on bulky word count rather than true action. Cudnt finish this one, it was as exciting as watching paint dry. Before writing the review, out of curiosity, I jumped forward whole chapters, then more chapters - finally found some action way deep inside, way deep. But by doing so there's no point in the storyline, which negates any listener connection to the script.
