Summary

An entertaining whistle-stop tour of rural British traditions, from the bestselling author of The World According to Kaleb.

Ever wondered what goes down at a Tar Barrel Festival? Don't know your wassailing from your wife carrying?

Well buckle up, because Kaleb Cooper - star of hit TV show Clarkson's Farm and Sunday Times bestselling author - is here to take you on a guided tour of some of the UK's most eccentric rural traditions.

In his smash-hit debut The World According to Kaleb, we learnt how Kaleb feels about everything from existentialism to comb-overs, and why he doesn't want to visit the Mediterranean. In this follow-up, Kaleb casts his focus closer to home to examine what people like to get up to in the great outdoors. You'll go gravy wrestling in Lancashire, nettle eating in Somerset, and venture to Hereford for the significant occasion that is Best Dressed Stick.

Along the way Kaleb will muse upon enduring British traditions like Morris Dancing and country fairs with his trademark warmth and deadpan wit. For fans of Kaleb's unique perspective and amusing hot takes, this will be a must-listen.

Entertaining and enjoyable

It was entertaining and enjoyable, overall a solid book, reading seems a bit slow at times but nothing unbearable or annoying.

Honesty

Found myself laughing out loud, listening and driving! Just a wonderfully honest view on life and tradition.

Word padding drivel

Kaleb is a brilliant and lovable guy on Clarkson’s farm, I could watch him for hours. I couldn’t stand more than 30 minutes of this book though, it’s a compete lack of content padded out with mindless drivel. Really disappointed by those cynical commercialism.

made me fall asleep

I absolutely loved Kaleb on clarksons farm. I thought I could listen to him all day, but honestly I found this Audio book so boring I fell asleep driving down the M1. there's no enthusiasm in his reading, there's no structure. it's just like reading bullet points after bullet points and it just drones on. you can tell you're just reading a script like a child reading a story in a school assembly. sorry pal, not for me. rather just watch clarksons farm. look forward to season 3.

Sadly not greatly read. Short for cost

Bit short sadly and not read with great confidence which is a great shame given how charismatic he is in real life. Felt rushed out when a few more confident takes and rehearsal would have made it listenable
