Summary
Chaos is descending on the City of Ancients.
The Twilight Ascent is coming to a boil. The Eveningtide Asura's plans are nearing fruition, while powerful factions try to block his ascent. Very enjoyable
One of the better books in the series. Great in concepts and naming although events and powers still feel somewhat contrived, lacking underlying cohesion. Character development could be better; everyone but the protagonist feels somewhat ephemeral and shallow; although there's promise that this is changing. That said it's one of my favourite series in this genre and I'm very much looking forward to the next one.

Perfect but with slow progression
Loved it, although I’d prefer if the story was progressed a bit faster. I sometimes feel a bit bored when everything slows down and all you hear are the thoughts of Zack for 15 minutes.
