Easy to read story - narration and editing poor
The storyline was interesting as winning the lottery is something we all think/talk about at some point or another. The narrator of Lexi’s part however was awful. Far too wooden and stilted. Lines were read twice in many places - makes you wonder if any quality assurance is ever done on narration and editing. Enough to make me consider returning for poor quality editing halfway through. Performance of other characters was good however.

Very good
I hadn’t read an Adele Parks books before, I chose this one as the subject matter was a bit different. The story didn’t turn out the way I expected. It had Interesting twist & turns right until the end, very good so I will definitely be downloading another AP book again 👍

Great book, enjoyable, a little slow in places
I don't usually read/listen to this type of fiction book but I must say that I did really enjoy it. I found myself listening to it each even to get off to sleep which was great because I'd go to bed dreaming about winning the lottery.
There are some definite twists in the story which keep it interesting. In some places, you'll find a couple of the characters infuriating though and sometimes you're just unsure where the story is going.
Overall: Would recommend and worth the listen!

My first adele parks!
started off a bit slow but picked up and turned out to be really good with a slight twist at the end will def be reading more of her books

Kept me hooked
This was brilliant. So many twists and turns mixed into the premise of a big lottery win, and the trials and strains a win like that can put on your relationships with loves ones. Thoroughly enjoyed it

Great Read!
Really loved the book, it kept you interested with surprises round each corner. Not v keen on the narrator tho, I don't think she did it justice which was a real shame

Great Book!
This is one of the best books I’ve listened to so far. The narration was good, engaging and easy on the ear. The storyline full of twists, turns and various characterisations that built gradually and naturally raised the tension. A fairly unique storyline too that is a breath of fresh air for those who like psychological thrillers. I will look for more from Adele Parks and the narrators in future. Highly recommended.

A good listen
I’ve listened to this over 3 days of being unwell so had to listen to a few chapters over again. I enjoyed the story. Parts predictable and parts not. A whole load of personalities in this book. Worth a listen. I will keep trying the lottery as it’s not put me off winning it 😁
