Summary

A pain so powerful can only be eased by a love even stronger. Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to the Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other's backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Aaron's story....

Single Dad of Seattle, Aaron Steele isn't a single dad at all. He's a retired Navy SEAL whose sister just died, leaving him to raise her newborn daughter all by himself. Only he has no clue how to be a dad - let alone a single dad. He's lost in a sea of diapers and bottles, late nights, and exhausting mornings, all the while dealing with a failure from his last mission he just can't shake. He needs help. He needs a nanny.

Professional nanny Isobel Jones has a heart of gold. She's always willing to help out, no matter the cause. She spends her days with children making memories and her nights on the laptop making magic as a graphic designer. After hearing Aaron's heartbreaking story, she jumps at the chance to help. But, she never expected her new boss to be a blue-eyed Adonis with dog tags, who quickly begins to fuel her fantasies.

While the beautiful nanny is off-limits, she's also a welcomed distraction. Aaron's grief is still raw, and he just knows he's going to mess up this whole dad thing. Isobel's never shied away from a challenge, and that's exactly what Aaron is - a big challenge. He's angry and stubborn, moody and confusing, and yet she knows deep down he's capable of so much love.

Will Isobel living with the single dad help pull him out of his misery, or will Aaron let the turmoil inside him chase away perhaps the only person that could help him finally find happiness?

Note: This audiobook can be listened to as a stand-alone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliff-hanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this audiobook is for you. The political views expressed in this audiobook do not necessarily reflect those of the author. This is fiction and the characters will have their own morals, ethics, political, and religious views in order to make them well-rounded and realistic.

My Thoughts on Living with the Single Dad

This series is continuing to feel fresh and new with each new story. And I feel like I’m enjoying them every time. This story had heartache and joy. It had a grumpy/sunshine feel. It had single dad/nanny but with a bit of a twist. It had several unexpected moments along the way that kept the storyline entertaining and kept me coming back for more of the story when I had those moments that took me away. The overall flow was just really good and it all felt really well put together. Once the two main characters crossed the line there were lots of steamy scenes, but the story was clearly about so much more than just that. I also really enjoyed getting to revisit with couples from the previous books in the series.
The female narrator on this one did a fantastic job. While I loved her voice in general, her male voice in particular really impressed me. There are plenty of female narrators that I think their male voice is ok, and there are also plenty where their male voice is really good. But there are few that I find to be so excellent that I love hearing them voice the male parts just as much as the male narrator. This was one of those times. So kudos to Eliza Roberts. Gregory Salinas is now one of my top 10 male narrators and his performance was on point once again.

Heartfelt single dad story

Overall, I liked the story. The author made you really feel for Aaron, who lost his sister, the closest person to him. My heart broke for him because he was absolutely heartbroken over her loss. And then he had to step up to be a single dad to her sister's orphan, Sophie. In steps Isobel, who is pure sunshine and slowly, his heart heals but does it heal enough to let her in?

The biggest issue I had with this book was how gloomy Aaron was though- his circumstances are difficult and heartbreaking but my goodness, it took him much of the book to be presented as consistently happy and not lash out. Isobel was consistently happy but a bit of a door mat. That said I was happy when they finally achieved their HEA and this series has been a wonderful overall series that is definitely one to be listened to.

Performed by dual narrators, the audiobook was good. I actually thought Eliza Robert's voice was too chipper at many times, sounding very young but that worked ok for Isobel. Gregory Salinas has a gorgeously smooth voice and is great to listen to but as Aaron, I felt like his voice needed a bit more gruffness. But overall, well worth a listen!

My Favorite of the Series!!!!

Living with the Single Dad is probably my favorite book of the series so far. I think twelve minutes in and I felt the tears coming and just knew it was going to be a great book, and now that I am done, that feeling never wavered. It was defiitely more emotional than than some of the others, but I so loved this story.

Aaron and his sister were the only family they had and they were close. She dies unexpectedly, leaving Aaron to care for her newborn baby. Having absolutely no experience with kids, he is definitely overwhelmed and is also grieving. He is also struggling with issues related to his past. Liam, the leader of the Single Dads club helps Aaron out by getting him a nanny, Isobel, who is also Tori's (from book one) sister. Isobel is perfect for Sophie and is patient with Aaron and is many mood swings as he navigates his new normal of fatherhood while grieving the loss of his sister.

I adored both Isobel and Aaron from the very beginning. Although Aaron came across as gruff and angry at times, it was clear he was hurting and had been through so much and needed some good in his life. I loved how much Isobel loved Sophie and how well she fit into her and Aaron's lives. I liked that she was caring and compassionate but tough. I loved her dad and his role in the story also. The ending of this story was absolute perfection!!!

The audiobook really brought forth all of the emotions of this story even more. Gregory Salinas and Eliza Roberts truly did a fantastic job with the narration of this story and evoking all of emotions through their narration. A definite must listen! #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

Heartwrenching, Healing Perfection.

I got this audiobook at my request via a promo code for The Flock, Pink Flamingo Productions and this is my honest review.

Book 4 of the Single Dad's of Seattle by Whitley Cox is just as great as the previous three, its slightly different in that our Sexy former SEAL is actually the Uncle-turned-Daddy to his premature niece, Sophie after the loss of his sister. Not gonna lie, the desperate single baby daddy is my catnip. Muscly men and little babies is just *chefs kiss* Aaron is at a loss with how to care for his niece when fellow Single dad of Seattle puts him in touch with Isobel to Nanny for him. Reluctant at first soon the pair have to admit they have fantastic chemistry. Aaron finds it hard to let his walls down, living solo with his own traumas for so long and now losing his sister so horribly after their childhood in the foster care system, Isobel takes no prisoners, grieving or not, she knows what she deserves, and Aaron realises he doesn't want to let her go, no matter how much the thought of losing another person terrifies him.

Yummy romance, hot scenes, achy in all the good places. Can be read as a Standalone, but its definitely worth checking out the series if you enjoy this one.

Brilliant Narration by Gregory Salinas in this book, his performance definitely stood out when he did Aarons POV about his insecurities. Eliza Roberts performance is as warm and welcoming as I am sure Sophia found Isobel.

Aaron and Isobel!

Aaron may have left his career as a Navy SEAL in his past but the memories and aftereffect still remain and adapting to civilian life has been difficult. When tragedy strikes he finds himself a single father to his infant niece Sophie which only makes the struggles he faces that much more difficult. He knows he needs help and that comes in the form of Isobel.

Isobel is a caring sensitive woman who has a painful past of her own. Her heart breaks for both Aaron and Sophie and will do anything in her power to help them adjust as they prepare for a life without his sister and her mother.

Their journey definitely had its challenges but it is how they handled those challenges that will stay with you long after you finish their story. Full of emotion this is a heartwarming story about love, healing and new beginnings. The narrators were a perfect choice for the characters as you could feel the emotions and romance that they shared. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Single Dad Contemporary Romance

Living with the Single Dad by Whitley Cox is a contemporary single dad romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Gregory Salinas and Eliza Roberts. This is the fourth book in The Single Dads Of Seattle series and can be read as a standalone.

I am loving this series! Whitley does a great job pulling me in from the first. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Aaron and Isobel. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Christmas With The Single Dad to be released on audio so I can get Zak and Aurora's story.

Gregory and Eliza did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like single dad romances or contemporary romances.

Wonderfully tragic

This is a beautiful storyline. Its tragic and wonderful. These characters are written so very well. They are tortured souls that belong to each other. A brilliant performance from both narrators.
