Summary

Against all odds, Rob and the Deserters have survived their second encounter with the eldritch abomination–known as the Blight–only for Rob to make first contact with the gods of Elatra in a very...aggressive way.

His enemies keep on piling up, and things are looking to get even tougher from here on out. If Rob and his friends want to survive their upcoming trials, they'll need to gain Levels, make new allies, and travel to the ends of the world and back again. Along the way, they'll discover some of the secrets behind Elatra's history, shaking their preconceptions of the world to its very core.

But what else is new? Rob has known for a long time that nothing was going to be easy. He's lost count of how many times he's almost died since being dragged through a portal against his will. Whether he's up against monsters, gods, or creatures beyond comprehension, Rob is determined to overcome it. He'll protect his friends, find a way home, and above all, survive.

There's no other choice.

It's getting more and more exciting

If you're a fan of the series so far, cop this one.

Story and lore keep getting more interesting, and Rob just keeps getting more overpowered. A fun ride from start to finish.

Now the #/!$/%$#@%?#! parts are a bit jarring but I do understand their significance, so no huge problem there.

Halligers keeps doing a good job with narration as per usual.

Get it.

Just as brilliant as the first two.

Neil Hellegers has brought so much life to the characters, I got lost in the story again and again.

Good story, will continue to read. (Spoilers.)

I am not sure if the author will read this or not, Just wanted to say I'm enjoying the series so far and like the whole direction it is going in. Though I admit I wish the relationship between Rob and Keira had turned out differently than it does. Maybe I am in a minority, but I kind of like those stories where the two characters who have a mutual attraction do not act on it for whatever reason, I view it as a refreshing break from the classic "Oh they have feelings for each other so therefore MUST get together at some point." trope.
I admit I am unhappy with that part, would rather have seen them keep it as they were, maybe citing fear of one of them dying or some such. I know, again I am probably part of a small group who feels this way. I just view it as a nice alternative from my point of view on what typically happens in stories. Though I again admit I wish how they did finally resolve their feelings could be done better, I just think their sealing the deal and coming to terms with their feelings could/should of been done better that a drunken hook-up.
My one other minor complaint aside than the relationships in the story, is that one part that where the a line is repeated ad nauseam. Just went on FAR too long to hammer the point home.

BUT overall, I am enjoying this series and want to see more. Keep it up Kamikazepotatoe! 👍

aaaahhhhh so disapointed

narrator is great, story has got weak, robs bumbling idiot personality has gone way to far, the main charactors complete lack of the ability to talk to his friends honestly and share his feelings is so utterly unbelievable i couldnt finish, this much of an utter fool would have no friends at all. returning this title.

What did i just listened to

Spend week listening to this audio book and it was shocking put me to sleep few time. I listened this at 1.2 speed.

The main story part is fine it not great and its been long time since i listening to other 1st 2 books and i skipped the .5 book. With that in mind I can easy follow and this part of the story mean i could easy off got away not listening to 1st 2 books as it summarize as alone. This osnone the reasons why the book is bigger then it need tl be as will as alot of character background. This make it feel all over the places. One minute you fighting then next your talking about why the the grass is red.

I had day to think about this review and i can summarised this book feel like it dose not no what it is i feel lile it wants to be a main story plot but woth lotts of characters history then switch to being a play script.

And the 5 plus minutes of waste of time was a joke should have add skip this part.
