Exactly what I needed to hear

I have been listening to this audiobook in the background while I go through my day. Finding all the small changes to take care of my mind, body, and soul has been making my life so much better. I have tried similar books and programs before, but this book finally made it make sense how to put myself first and change the direction of my life.
If you have been struggling to find time for self care, you need to read this.

A must-read for women struggling right now

Listening from my boyfriends account. Wow, what an amazing hour this book was! So poignant to where im at right now in my life. The author; Amanda is very relatable in her anecdotes she highlights, particularly in chapter 4; Cleanse your Soul. This really made me think of my inter all essence and the control I have over my body and mind in certain situations such as letting go from relationships. Thank you Amanda.

I listened at work, and felt better cared for!

The highlight of this book is the listing of 99 self-care ideas. Just by ticking off these items one-by-one over several weeks, you would never miss the cost of this book. As I listened to the listings, I was stunned by how many of these simple experiences I had been putting off, had never thought of, or just hadn't done in far too long. I could count on one hand the steps that I had taken for myself in the past few months. So I've got about 94 to focus on next!

Amanda clearly has the confidence to teach others what they need to know in order to make peace with their greatest foe: Themselves. In the early chapters. she talks extensively about irrational self-loathing we experience over something as simple as dropping and breaking a drinking glass. I felt that, having grappled with it in my own life. Even now, when I see someone do something clumsy or embarrassing in public, I feel a wave of sympathy for them. Not because anybody is judging them, but because that person is very likely feeling that everyone is judging them.

The narration was great, confident, and soothing... although I confess I felt a twinge of disappointment when the American-accent revealed that the writer was actually from Ireland. I've always been partial to the Irish accent and would love to hear Amanda put out a whole book embracing it! ;) Regardless of that nitpick, it's a great addition to your Audible library.

Self Care

This is a shorter one hour approx. audio book well narrated by Lauren,,,i think its not just for women for sure . It contains all the usual affirmations and some other useful hacks to help your life.

Easy to Follow!

The book is an informative guide that reminds me rather than give new facts as they are well known but it was made clearly and concisely which is easy to follow and the point on fixing my mind on only things that I can change is a helpful reminder.

Good information

This audiobook covers most self-care concepts, but I found the mantras helpful. This book gave me a lot of great ideas that went beyond the diet and exercise. I just wish this book was a bit longer. Highly recommended.

This is Great for Men Too!

I was curious to see how self-care for women differs from self-care for men. I can use everything in this book and achieve the results I want, which is basically to love myself better and others more.
