Very good recording of an entertaining story
I have been so disappointed by the new recordings of Heyer's books, but finally here is one that does not disappoint. The reading is clear and entertaining and, although I agree with another reviewer that Tom and Edmund sound a bit too old, overall this version ranks alongside the previous one read by Nicholas Rowe. I still wish the other version were available for people new to Heyer audiobooks but I am so glad I have them all in my library as they have been my comfort listens over the last four years.

Fabulous!
This was always one of my favourite of Heyer’s books and the narration is wonderful. I will listen many times I think.
For those who don’t know it, it’s fun, full of events, lovely characterisations and a read to really lose yourself in when days need lightening.

Wonderful
I absolutely loved it - just brilliant! The narration was excellent and the story is superb, I know I'll listen to it again many times. Some of the best narration I've ever heard!

Wonderful
Sylvester is one of my favourite novels by Georgette Heyer; one I have read a dozen times or more. Matt Addis reads the audiobook version superbly. He really gets the humour; there is so much more to Heyer’s writing than a simple boy meets girl romance. Her books are insightful as well as witty and Matt Addis gets all this across with his intelligent understanding of the prose and his mellifluous voice. I could listen to him all day. And he pronounces the words correctly! Not a given by any means, especially with younger actors who pronounce many words as if they have never come across them before and have no idea of their meaning. Rather irritating for the listener. Sylvester is a great book, and Matt Addis has made it even better.

Absolutely terrific
My main comment here is to congratulate the narrator. What a brilliant performance. All characters were given their own shape; I believe myself entirely in love with Tom Orde as voiced here.
Really good listen, so much so that I'm going to do this one again straight away. Bravo!

The best of the best...
one of my favourite Georgette Heyers always and lucky me, read by the most perfect narrator I've heard on Audible. He just gets it. I so wish he could re-record all the other titles...
