This is a Must Listen!

Different types of burnout

In the current world we live in it feels impossible not to feel burnt out at some time. It is challenging to try and juggle work, family, and social life. The biggest revelation within the audiobook was the fact that there are three different types of burnout. In order to help you determine which one you might be experiencing, you complete a range of simple questionnaires. The audiobook was well-structured and it was also interesting to understand how burnout can negatively affect body your mental and physical health. The content had a humourous tone which made it engaging to listen to.

So many of us are so burnt out now. But I like that this book shows how we don't have to be. It shows you how to get to the root cause of why you are feeling this way and gives you clear steps to get out of it.

This book will open your eyes to burn out!

This author is a superb story teller, providing stories that let's you feel and identify the symptoms of burnout in yourself. Afterall, seeing it is the first step to recovery. You'll learn about the cost both physiologically and emotionally of burnout which will hopefully be the wake up call you need if you are experiencing burnout. There are plenty of tools and exercises in this book to help you along the path away from burnout. To find calm, balance, and meaning by learning more about yourself and your real needs, needs you can not or should not ignore. A must read book!

Helped me beat the stress cycle!

Having been in the burnout cycle for most of my twenties and thirties I needed some help to understand how I could stop repeating the same patterns of behaviour around work and play time. I worked far to hard and tried to play harder,albeit I am in my late thirties now and the physical and mental toll is noticeable. This audiobook was fantastic at explaining the situation I am in (and have been in many times before) but it then held my hand as went through the chapters to give me actionable strategies to help overcome the burnout cycle. Chapter 5 was a real eye opener as I didn't know I had a "burnout" type! A must listen chapter for anyone wanting to conquer their burnout once and for all. More energy, clearer focus and I feel happy again after implementing the changes - highly recommended.
