Summary

How many lives would you spend to find your beloved?

Dominick Davidner was murdered. Then things got worse.

Instead of going on to the afterlife, Dominick found himself back in his nine-year-old body, all memories of his previous life intact. All he can think about is Emily, the love of his life, left behind when he died.

Unfortunately, she is now thousands of miles away. How can Dominick find his way back to the woman he loves, and what will he say if he finds her?

Includes a special bonus note read by the author.

really enjoyable listen

I have just listened to all 3 books on the Middle Falls series and they're very entertaining, particularly if you're fond of time travel stuff but with a difference.

All time classic

3rd time to listen to this and I just love this series of books. I can totally relate to Emily rereading a book over a life time as this series will be that for me. Thank you to the author for bringing these stories to my life

Amazing series of books 📚

I have absolutely loved these books. The first one being so close to the authors heart made them particularly poignant. Brilliantly interlinking the characters. Also makes you think about life and death and the lives we lead, choices we make. I wonder if I would do things differently... I most definitely recommend these books and look forward to reading more by Shawn.

So far I love these books!

I have loved all but this one book three. I'm on book five now. My issue is half of book three was most of book two. The first two books were amazing! He either was stuck like he said on book three or he was being lazy on writing it. It's verbatim of book two. I still would recommend these books just skip the first four hours. You'll understand if you listen to these books. Thank you to the author for writing this series. Also for not doing again what he did in book three.

Brilliant!

So far, books one and three have been excellent. Two was a little bit less so. I am going right into book four now with excited anticipation. I can't wait for the others in the series to be recorded!

Third times a charm!

I discovered this series four days ago, and it has been like meeting someone you know will be a friend for life. I have been a faithful daily reader/listener for 28 years now. I have devoured countless books in that time, so I feel I am a pretty good judge of quality - Shawn Inmon is quality, and deserves greater distribution and recognition. Since this is the third in a series, I'm probably preaching to the choir, but for those that haven't started singing yet, come join - you won't be sorry.

Too much of the previous books

I really liked the first two books in the series and this one isn't bad, but it rehashes a lot of the first two books. I suppose that is for those that start with this one without reading the first two. But for those of us that did, half of this story is just a replay. I am hesitant on reading the fourth book because I don't want to hear the first three stories again.

Spoiler alert if you haven't read the 1st 2 books!

I eagerly downloaded this book after reading the other two. It was a fresh, fascinating, "if only" concept! Then, after not far into the book, I was aghast at the romanticizing suicide as a solution without a single mention of what it does to loved ones and only casual mention of it being a cowards way out! Having seen families deal with the horror of suicide as a paramedic and my own parents hell from losing their son (NOT a suicide but absolutely devastating!) how can anyone be so sheltered or naive to write a book with a "if you don't like this life, just kill yourself and have another go at it because you're the only one that has to suffer waiting til you're the right age again" mentality! Too many don't give a second thought of how their death will affect others, leaving them with eternal guilt, just as bad, if not worse than the character from the 1st book, forever wondering how they could have missed the signs, believing they didn't do enough, feeling responsible for the rest of their lives.
How enticing has this book made suicide to those who have been strongly affected by this covid crap, who are already struggling to find a reason to hold on and just needed a little nudge to throw it all away?
Yes, those who don't feel there's nothing left will recognize this as a fiction. Those who have no hope left and are in despair could well say, "So much fiction is based in truth. Maybe there's truth to this or maybe I could at the least be reincarnated" and with suicide glorified as the cowardly but simple and quick solution to things not working out how one wanted it. Mostly because of mental illness (running rampant right now) and partly there wasn't a single real world reminder of how a parent, family member, friend or ex would be devastated beyond comprehension should they take that easy way out.
I was so in love with this series until this book. Maybe seeing how suicide destroys everyone close and often scars even casual acquaintances has me hypersensitive to this subject, but really? Not a single sentence to how the family members or ex would struggle to live with his selfish and cowardly act? Not a single one in the whole book???
My curiosity is peaked regarding the new story line brought in, but idk if I can bring myself to listen to another "if things don't work out just perfect, kill yourself, destroy those who love you so you can have a 'quick fix' to the problem" mentality. In the 1st two books, there were understandable reasons. This just glorified it as a quick fix.
If it wasn't for that one issue, this would be one of the most creative story lines I've read in some time.
