About this listen
Don't miss the exciting third installment in the best-selling urban fantasy mystery series, the Crow Investigations.
A cursed Fox. A vengeful Silver. A whole lot of trouble. Lydia Crow has long suspected there is more beneath London than just trains but has never been keen to poke around in the dark. But when Paul Fox, powerful member of the Fox Family, blackmails her into taking a case, she has no choice. Investigating a suspicious death in a disused tunnel of the London Underground for her ex-boyfriend causes friction between her and DCI Fleet - and not the fun kind. Uncle Charlie is still pressuring her to work for the family business, her ghostly flatmate is looking for answers about his own demise and Maria Silver is out for blood. Preferably Lydia’s.

“The Lydia Crow books are a firm favourite of mine, combining intriguing crime fiction with a hint of other-worldly mysticism.” (Kerry Barrett)

Imaginative and original (even though irritating !)
Entertaining and easy books to listen to. Although they irritate me too, the storyline is compelling enough to bring me back to each sequel. The main character Lydia isn’t easy to like and each time I hear her say ‘hell hawk’ I want to scream. Either swear or don’t bother. Even 'damn!’ would be less ridiculous !
If you brace yourself for the irritation, the story is imaginative and original enough to keep you interested :)

Another really entertaining listen!
Another great story. Characters continuing to emerge and develop, interwoven plot lines and a pace you wouldn’t get bored with. I’m going straight on to the next one.

Good book
After the excellent book one I felt a bit disappointed with book two but now the author is on top of the game once more. Lydia and Fleet seemed to be a couple but the ending of this book looks like everything has blown apart. I’ve already got book four in my library can’t wait to get started…love magic

Interesting, magical, flawed and funny
I am a huge consumer of detective fiction, fantasy and any combination of either. I really enjoyed this series. They are not grimdark, or shocking novels...I'd describe this series as building to one hell of a boil!
The action is not unbelievable, nor outrageous. There is virtually no swearing or nudity.
It all happens in London.
The characters have a depth, which is rewardingly explored and expanded in each book.
I am looking forward to hearing/reading more about Lydia Crow's world.

Wonderful
A great story, lovely likeable characters, great narration. The book has a suspence, but also, listening is strangely comforting, undoubtedly to to the narrator, that I like very much. A perfect book for a spot of relaxation.

Ace
Excellent series of books. The narrator is awesome and the books are so well written. Just thought I'd leave this review before I listen to the final book. It'll no doubt be as addictive as the others in the series
