Summary

Just remember, eternity is a long time to be watching over your shoulder....

Branded and sold into slavery in Senestra, Arkady holds out little hope of being rescued. She turns to her new owner for help...but learning the truth about him may cost both their lives.

Jaxyn's plans hit a snag when he realises the one man who can challenge him for the Glabaen throne, Stellan Desean, has sought asylum in Caelum. Strangely enough, the Empress of the Five Realms, and the Tide Lords Tryan and Elyssa, seem to be on Stellan's side.... And Declan Hawkes, struggling with his transformation, abandons the Cabal, and flees to Glaeba in search of some trace of Arkady.

Critic reviews

"Fallon delivers a highly complicated tale full of intertwining plots and loads of characters, but brings it all across with a refreshingly straightforward prose style. Though newcomers should definitely read the first two installments of the series first, the author does her best to provide relevant back story along the way, and she ends the book with revelations that will make readers look forward to the next, and final, book in the series. A worthy chapter in Fallon’s satisfying fantasy tale." (Kirkus)

Really good

Great continuation of the story. Off to book four!
Narrator is great once I remember to forget he's been to Ambridge.

Great!

Of course, I would not take it on its own, one needs to read the previous two, even though there are enough hints to survive it on its own. In general, a very intriguing series of books.
