Summary

Having barely escaped the Overcavern Forest with his life, Ben is ready for some peace and safety in the city of Solas. Unfortunately, he won't find it, not in that nightmare of a city. Especially not with the pristine body of Betsy the Purebeast safely sealed away in his Utility Pocket; a treasure so rare that it's garnered interest from all the wrong kinds of powerful people. With Vivi once again accused of the very same crimes he'd was exiled for, the power of Solas are determined to use this farce of a trial (by human standards) to rip Betsy from the teams still cooling fingers.

Join Ben as he learns the true meaning of friendship, how the criminal justice system works in The World, and how good it feels to be on the right side of Nuclear Diplomacy in a city designed for the exclusive purpose of robbing every newcomer to The System blind. And time loops, he learns about time loops too.

Fun factor - beware nuclear laugh will ensue

Definitely the funniest story I've listened to in a while. My only gripe is the length and the fact that it took multiple of years to be released. aside from that it's a great book, Definitely binge worthy and good enough to relisten to multiple times.

can't wait for the 4th

Great fun, wonderful narration

A brilliant series there is lots of humour, fun, some drama and a greater insight into the world. This book covers the aftermath of an adventure and its consequences. As well as some really entertaining uses of magic. An unorthodox litrpg.

The world created can be harsh but its countered by some very fun or touching moments. It's well balanced to be highly entertaining.

I love these characters. Especially Frankie.

The suggestion box questions and answers were an excellent idea.

The narration is really well done and some of the voices used could not have been easy.

I think if you enjoyed the previous books you will enjoy this one. I look forward to the next book.

Good story made great by the best narrator

Honestly Johnathan McLain has to be the best fantasy narrator in the business

There’s a lot going on in this series with a lot of characters and Mr MCLain makes them all recognisable and memorable

Sorry for fan boying out but he is great

Fun times

I've been waiting for this next book for so long. It was exactly what I wanted. Fun, silly and just plain entertaining. The performer is so good, their range and energy is so captivating. I hope the next audiobook doesn't take as long to be released, but I'll be listening to it none the less.

Meh. It had its moments

Lots of nothing really happening sandwiched between nonsensical and frankly pointless, world building. Also, timey-whimy BS everywhere. Short bus is funny but not in a split off series kind of way.
