About this listen
A collection of stories from Syd Moore, author of the Essex Witch Museum series.
Ghosts, witches and all kinds of creepy things seem to congregate in the town of Adder's Fork, where the world-renowned Essex Witch Museum has its home. Death stalks the pages, cats offer companionship (of sorts) and ghosts haunt a variety of characters.

loved it!
Spooky and brilliantly performed. Great little correlations with her other Strange novels. Totally recommend to anyone who enjoys her other books. I wish there were more!

Strange, but not our Rosie.
The title of this selection of short stories is a little misleading, it only mentions Sam in passing and Rosie is nowhere to be found, though we do get an excellent story about Ethel Rose. A nice selection of creepy, though not always supernatural, short stories and though some of the themes were familiar, the stories were well written and brilliantly read by Julia Barrie.

Background info
I find all of Syd’s extra casebooks they often give you background information on the strange books. So alas not Strange they are very much needed.

Skipping and repetition
I was disappointed with this audiobook because of the editing that caused repetition of words and sentences as well as some skipping which pulls you out of the story.

this is a collection of short stories
If you are hoping for the next installment, this isn't it. It's a collection of short stories, some set in Adders Fork, some with lesser characters from the books, and one about Ethel-Rose.

Really disappointing
I love the Essex Witch Museum books and was hoping for another great story. Instead, I got this disjointed set of tales. It feels like a short book, cobbled together to cash in on the success of the main series. So disappointing.

Good short stories but not about Rosie
The bio on audible for this book is misleading, it states “Ghosts, witches and all kinds of creepy things seem to congregate in the town of Adder’s Fork, where the world-renowned Essex Witch Museum has its home. It’s not long before owner Rosie Strange and curator Sam Stone must take matters into their own hands”. This collection of short stories (whilst really well written and performed) are nothing to do with Rosie and Sam, they’re not even mentioned. The stories are worth listening to but I feel that the bio should be updated to reflect what the stories are about to avoid disappointment.

a bit odd
this book was ok. I'm not sure i enjoyed it as much as the other strange series. Bring back Rosie and Sam.

Disjointed and boring
Not a patch on his previous books, a bit like reading the silmarilion after JRR Tolkiens Lord of the rings

Don’t bother if you have the 12 Days of Christmas
Yes it’s a collection of short stories, mostly not about Rosie and Sam, but I was not expecting them to be repeated in the 12 Days of Christmas.
Save your money and just buy the 12 Days version if you want to listen to them!
