About this listen

February, 2043:

Jack and the crew of the Crimson Alliance have finally made it back from the Realm of Order, but the threat to Eldgard is deadlier than ever.

Vogthar incursions are increasing, dungeons falling in droves, towns and cities ravaged by Darklings - Players and NPCs who have willingly sided with the Dark Overmind Thanatos. But thanks to a priceless artifact Jack found after defeating the Lich Priest, there might be a glimmer of hope on the horizon. Jack and company have unearthed a Doom-Forged relic, one part of an ancient weapon capable of killing even a god. But to assemble the legendary god-killer, they’ll need to find the other relics and locate the fabled Doom Forge of the Dwarven godling Khalkeús, all while unraveling a mystery five hundred years in the making.

Best Audio of the Year

What can I say this story is such a game changer and of course it's always good to hear from the VGO universe but there is so many twists in this that you are constantly surprised and amazed how well it works out and fits in with everything from Book 1 onwards.
Narration is flawless as always and is as easy now as it was from the start of VGO.
Never a doubt it was 5 stars.
I requested this audio and have left my thoughts for everyone

Better and better

I was a bit concerned that the whole ‘taking on a quest with impossible odds’ format would grate on me or be a bit too repetitive given the story so far, but James manages to put new twists and world building into this which make it a worthwhile instalment.

Armen does a great job narrating again, and the characters feel very real. Looking forward to hearing what’s next for Jack, hopefully it won’t go straight into another ‘save the world all or nothing’ scenario though!
