Summary
The magical world of Davrar is inhospitable and strange. Terrible monsters roam, ancient dungeons lurk over every hill, and the prophesied Endings promise doom.
But it's Nathan Lark's new home. He's developed his antimagic and found friends in the most powerful Adventurers of his generation. They've sworn an oath to defend the city of Gemore and defeat the Endings.
On the horizon is the enslaving mage-empire of Giantsrest, and Archmage Taeol dho Droxol hasn't forgotten that Nathan holds secrets of Earth. Conflict is certain.
There is only one path forward. Nathan and his friends must advance.

Excellent LitRPG
Really enjoyed these books. I’ve listened to most of the LitRPG series on Audible and this ranks high in my favourites. To the author - please keep the adventure coming. So many other stories lose their way and go into long rambling political arcs or other dull topics. I love the adventure and discovery so more please.

Loved many elements of this book
This book keeps building on the cool consept of antimagic. Overall I enjoyed the ride and some of the humor is high tier. But the side characters feel a bit flat, the world is described but exist more as a backdrop than something the character live in. And this book continues the trend of describing the abs of the other characters in way too high of a detail. Doesn't fit with the rest of the story at all. I'm not the only one who gets confused by the sudden change of pace.

Want to use magic? Oh Noah you can't!
#Adventurer by AlexanderOlson published by Tantor Audio. The 2nd book in the #EndsofMagic series was a barnstorm. I loved it. What stuck in my mind was the author's detail of how light works in the world of Davrar and how characters like Lucy use it: it was intricately detailed.
The narrator Phil Thron was adept in portraying the many characters that weaved this story together. I liked his ability to enthusiastically voice the hero characters... I was on board. Would recomend. My first series read by this narrator but not my last. 📚4/5⭐️ #bookreview
