Summary

Tired of traditional diets that leave you feeling frustrated and stuck? Ready to embrace a new perspective on your nutrition? Keep reading...

When you hear the word diet, what comes to mind?

Your thoughts probably jump to the latest fad that celebrities are raving about or your own experiences with diets that felt restrictive and unrealistic. But at its core, a diet is very different from dieting. One encompasses the foods that you eat, while the other tries to control those foods.

For most people, nutrition is a bit of a mystery. With hundreds of sources of information that often conflict with one another, it can be totally overwhelming to even know where to begin.

You might have been led to believe that to truly understand your nutrition, you need to work with expensive dieticians or personal trainers - but this couldn't be further from the truth.

The reality is that anyone, including you, can start to make changes in diet that will immediately start having positive effects both mentally and physically.

But how do you do that?

By understanding your dietary habits and the tendencies you have around food, you'll discover exactly how much your subconscious is impacting your health and wellness.

Once you recognize the power of your thoughts and mindset, you can harness that power to start creating real, lasting change in your life.

In Breaking Bad Eating Habits, here is just a fraction of what you will discover:

  • Practical advice for managing mindset, stress, and attitude while developing a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle
  • How nutrition affects your development even before birth - and why childhood influences are so powerful
  • Eight principles that form the basis of mindfulness with a six-step process to help you become a more mindful eater
  • Tips and tricks for adapting meals and recipes to immediately start improving your nutrition
  • And much more

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Good for Bad Eating Habits

I do know I have bad habits around food and this book is helping me to understand why I eat the way I do. Surprisingly, although I thought I knew a lot about dieting and my diet I have learnt what a big part your subconscious has to play in your daily choices. I have seen a difference in a short time and I’m not dieting any more but making good choices with a different mindset, great! So many great tips and tricks too all new to me and really make a difference.

Such a great reset for the mind!

I absolutely love how the author has brought mindset, childhood, and subconscious factors along with science into this well-thought-out book. There is more to breaking habits than just information. Addressing how important the emotional factors are is key for true and sustainable change. Definitely recommend it for those ready to make a change!

Your Higher Power is Within You

This book was just what I needed to finally stop binge eating... After being overweight all my life, I'd finally found an eating plan that suited my lifestyle and preventative health goals, and I found it in intermittent fasting. The only issue? I'd have the huge urge to overeat and binge on my eating days, even when I no longer felt hungry, to the point of making myself sick and having to wait hours before going to bed because of heartburn from all the compulsive eating. I'm all about self love, but there is no way I can love the impulses that sabotaged all my efforts and made me misserable. Ever since I listen the book, I just felt so in control, and after the first day trying Nick's tips, I enjoyed my food thoroughly and did not overeat at all. Being in control has given me such a confidence boost that the impulses I might feel around a certain food are no longer dictating my life. I will be forever thankful for finding this book and all the resources along with it.

Packed full of useful info!

This book was an eye opener for me. One of the only books that really puts everything into perspective, but also allows you to zoom in on specific details that make a huge difference in our day to day behaviours when it comes to food. From managing your mindset (which is one of my main issues) to also having explanations as to why we crave certain unhealthy foods. It's easy to put your faith into an author who clearly knows what he's talking about. Highly recommended!

Smart book!

This book really runs the scope of the topic: from big-picture ideas, down to simple recipes to try. It's really comprehensive. The author is def speaking from a place of expertise, and it's also really realistic about how much we can change and how quickly. If you struggle with eating, you're going to get a ton out of this.

Great book for anyone who has struggled with their weight!

Wow! I have been a yo-yo dieter for most of my life and really thought I “knew it all.” But Nick’s book has so much new information in it that I learned a lot! He did a great job of describing the ways our body and brains work in relation to food. And he also gave tons of practical steps that I can do to break my bad eating patterns and get started on a building good patterns. I’ve read a lot of books about eating/food by well-known authors and I would put Nick’s book right up there with them! Thanks, Nick, for creating this book and for sharing your knowledge!!

Wow, this is a super comprehensive book!

This book is jam-packed with valuable information for pregnant mothers. I've learnt a lot about nutrition science and how it affects our health in both the short and long run. The author does a fantastic job of discussing how we get harmful habits and how to break them and replace them with healthy ones. This book will be recommended to everyone of my pregnant or planning to become pregnant friends.

Great motivation!

This audiobook is excellent for a young individual who wants to get encouragement for changing the habit of eating. As a certified nutrition consultant, specializing in blood sugar stabilization and a certified personal trainer, I read the research, nutrition, and science publications more than most people. I can see some of the information here needs to update and corrected. For example, the author recommended having a whey protein powder for breakfast, as a reason for fast digestion, but in the meantime, the author discusses blood glucose and insulin that can cause a rise in blood sugar. Many research has shown whey protein causes an increase in insulin and causes blood sugar spikes. One research mentioned that whey protein causes blood sugar spikes more than a piece of white bread. When you want to prevent a blood sugar spike, you don’t want a protein or food that has fast digestion unless you just finish a heavy lifting session. In this case, you get a good hack from this window of opportunity. Also, too much protein eating in a meal can spike blood sugar, most people do not know about this, and in this case, also the author.

As I mentioned, it’s good for young people but not for people who are over 40. I’m almost 50 myself and work with clients in their 40s, 50s, and 60s and I speak instead of people over 40,

The audiobook overall showed breaking bad eating habits can help young people to get into healthy habits and they will enter their 40s with no health problems or less health problems. I love that it's motivated with the right attitude for helping more people to have a positive habit change.
