Summary
Dietary science is on the move. For decades, people were wrongly focused on reducing fat and calories, whereas we now know that the real trouble-makers are the foods that deregulate our blood sugar levels.
In writing both clear and empathetic, biochemist Jessie Inchauspé explains why blood sugar spikes are so bad for us and how to flatten those spikes to transform our health.
By analysing decades of research and running thousands of original experiments on herself wearing a continuous glucose monitor, she has distilled 10 simple and surprising hacks that can be easily incorporated into everyday life.
By the end of this audiobook, you'll be aware of how food impacts your biology. You'll know which breakfast choices may be causing your cravings, in which order you should eat the food on your plate, what not to do on an empty stomach, which foods lead to mood swings and how to avoid being sleepy at three PM. You'll evolve the way you eat, take control of your health and your life will flourish.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Excellent book with lots of useful hacks
Loved the book, lots of well researched information and I liked that it was narrated by the author. Only on issue is that it was mentioned by the author that there is a PDF available. However, there is no option to diwload à PDF , I have tried the desktop site too. Can you please add the PDF, thank you.

New, exciting, evidence-backed science
Inchauspe, a scientist, relates her personal project engagingly and with scientific rigour. It is a fascinating addition to nutritional science which seems to have some really interesting research coming out over the last few years. Many my age (circa 40) and up will have internalised the idea that fat is bad but sugar is ok in moderation. Saturated fat is fine as long as it's not hydrolysed, hydrogenated or otherwise processed. Sugar is bad even in moderation - although this book is mainly about effective hacks for healthier ways to accommodate it in our diets, since it is now so ubiquitous and we are all so addicted. Like fasting and the keto diet, this book is also about boosting ketosis to avoid the sugar waves most of us are surfing. Inchauspe is also amongst the best author-readers.

Interesting read
I was mostly interested in the hacks described in the last chapter. It’s an interesting theory, well supported by scientific evidence. Narration was great, an easy listen, finished in 1 day. Just missed the accompanying pdf with the recipes. Where is that?

So enlightening! Full of science and sense. Thanks
Recommended by my sister who is pre-diabetic. I am perimenopausal, suffering joint pain and weight gain, to name but a few!
This author is so genuinely interested and very well educated and researched. Listening to her story, her knowledge and the factual information and helpful hacks in how we can all eat in a better, healthier way to improve our health, happiness and lives is short of amazing. I feel better already after just one day of making some changes, and I think it's also so uplifting and hopeful, it automatically makes you feel a lot better. Many thanks and highly recommended.

This makes sense.
I am in awe of this book. Once again recommended by Tim Spectre of the ZOE health studies and whose recent book about food for life is scientifically based.
I have watched and practiced the way that healthy eating has evolved over the last sixty years, and have recently been feeling the benefits of Intermittent Fasting. Certainly anti inflammatory, now I will be tweaking my diet, hopefully once and for all with the hacks in this book.

very creative and informative
My eyes have been opened, to be honest I was sceptical about this book when it was recommended to me. I have to say I found it very informative and explained the whole subject of Glucose in our diet very well. it's a book that needs to be revisited. love the hacks thank you.

Mind blowing knowledge that really works!
I watched Jessie on a podcast last week; I think with Rangan Chatterjee. I loved what she was teaching. I tried out her hack of eating a salad 1st then the rest of a meal; including bread. I don’t usually eat bread as I’m largely a Keto eater; but this was a test. It really works! My blood sugar was under 100 an hour later. Amazing. This knowledge really is power. Thanks for putting this out there Jessie; you’re really helping my journey back to super health.
