Captivating
Lacked plot but the introduction to the world was captivating enough. Interesting characters and a lot of potential

Hooked
Absolutely loved this book. Was not expecting to enjoy even close to the amount I did. listened to the first in rapid speed and straight into the second. Am delighted to have found these books. Could be my new favourite author.

A brilliant introduction to one of my new faves.
The fact I have listened to 13 more books in the series now, one after another, proves the longevity and success of this series

Good
I really enjoyed this book. The story is well written and funny, and the characters are great. The narrator is okay, he has a nice voice, although his accents can be a little cringe worthy. Well worth a credit.

Really good story.
Loved this book. Its even better how the narrator gives a voice to each character and you really feel all emotions from his voices, joy, sadness, humor, this has lead me to by the rest of this series and lots more books the narrator does.

Much better than I expected
Still no Dresden files but I do like the characters a lot.
They have a degree of purity and innocence, especially the main character and the reader pulls it off perfectly.
I also like that there is a little science in it, not just turning into bats.
Got me hooked.
If you like the Dresden files give this a shot.

Guilty pleasure!!
If you like your stories to be ultra realistic then this book is not for you, but if this is the case then go read a newspaper because this book is awesome! There are many kinda cringey moments and the main character seems a bit dim sometimes. However the plot is action packed and advances relentlessly, never spending too long on a scene. It is well written with fun characters and the series only gets more interesting as it progresses. It is very much a guilty pleasure with Underworld style vampires and werewolves. This series will appeal to many young adults for the violence and supernatural themes.
